This is so nice for me to see ... I grew up in America but my mother was fresh off the boat from Ireland when I was born in New York in 1949. I am now in my sixties and I long to go to see her home town of Ballinamore. ( Too bad about the soundtrack ). Btw my mom's family name was Quinn. I might also mention, we moved to Miami Beach and that is where I still live today just two blocks from the ocean. It has been a good life ... but I have a special place in my heart for Ireland.

It has been so many years since I've seen her, but tears came to my eyes, especially as she looked up at you when you said good bye and her spirit lightened a bit; the twinkle was back in her eye. That's my memory of her. I'll keep this bookmarked to re visit. In Aug., 1983, my husband, Bob, son Cormac and I were welcomed by the sisters to our first breakfast in Ireland in that dining room. Your father and you may have brought the provisions for that meal. I'm sure we watched Gay Byrne on occasion in that library. How many times we prayed with the sisters in the chapel. How many more times they responded to our requests for prayers in that same place, I'm sure. May their legacy live on in the good people like you whose lives they touched. Thank you again.
