I got my sti hatch at 37k miles. It’s now at 60k. I’m 99% stock, got a invidia catback and a cobb bpv. I eat all the stage 2 wrxs and walk base challengers. I think I’m about to start building it because I wanna eat 5.0, cats and scats.
I used to have a wrx hatchback, now I have a 2020 sti. It feels weird but the power feels so different in both cars. 1st and 2nd in my hatch was noticeably quicker, but 3rd and on in my sti would leave my old wrx in the dust. Have you pulled on any wrxs from a dig? Just curious, maybe the sti feels slower in lower gears because of a smoother power delivery? More turbo lag? I’m not sure
@@cade_44 its because boost in wrx's hits around 2200rpm, whereas stis hits around 3600-4000rpm. That's why most wrx's feel "quicker" in lower gears, but really slow down on top end, and stis are "sluggish" at lower gears, but haul around 3rd. Don't get me wrong I, my WRX rips in 3rd, but not compared to an STI, especially around 5000rpm, you can feel the power leave her. Regardless tho I love my scoob!
@@ryotv1747 true. I remember 3rd being still pretty fun in my wrx, but 4th and 5th were pretty much lifeless, my moms crv was faster at that point haha. But the wrx is fast asf in 1st and second and feels absolutely awesome. I’ve been in some insane cars (including an 800 hp civic) but it just never feels the same as as a subi in 1st and 2nd gear
