Archie and I spent 5 days cruising with friends Jason and Freddy (son) on the south Devon coast. After buying a cheap speargun on Marketplace and with zero experience we were surprised by our success after spearing half a dozen fish over the course of the trip!

Hi there, great video of a very capable boat. Not sure if you are on the FB group for Rivals I set up and run but lots of great advice and experience on there. I’m now based just north of Saltash and moved in February so new to the area. Not got my Rival here yet but hope to keep it at Cargreen. Cheers. Andy UK

Invest in a box of disposable gloves. Lidl, B&Q etc Double glove for messy jobs or if you know you have incoming phone calls.

The boat yard & driver of the lift are responsible for any damages they have caused to your sailboat. You should have a certified surveyor to examine the keel and report on the damages & cost of repairs. Their insurance should pay for the repairs.
Do you take the cushions out for winter ?
Topsides look nice and shiny, what treatment have you used? Just cut and wax or different coating? I struggle to keep it shiny for a season even with washing each trip.

Interesting sound from the drive, wonder if you have a bent propshaft or shaft whip? Or am I just mistaking it for resonance from the engine.

saw your post on DIY sailors, i had one of those battery hand pumps it never worked for me. Looks useful if they do work. I always look at other boats on for sale sites and broker sites for interior ideas, though im generally happy with my 1988 boats interior. Also rest the tarp over the cocpit on the boom
Bro so sick! Inside you got to gut it out. Leave all the piping etc in place so you can get oven and other things in, other than that make it simple x
