I sold most my positions during the dip at a loss and now those stocks are doing well. Most of my holdings are in cash of about 300 grand now. How do I stay invested and think long-term to help me ride out the market’s ups and downs.

ARGT...seriously? Obviously you haven't live in Latinamerica. Argentina and most latinamerican governments are so volatile which to me it's too much of a gamble on retirement savings. What dividend stocks pay 3.5% yield also gain average of 8%/year? Very few. You rarely get both. You either get high dividends and low growth stocks or low/no dividend with higher growth. Not both. Dividend portfolios are the absolute slowest way to grow wealth.
