We’re here to highlight the most iconic early mobile devices and explore new advancements in technology with passion. Over a century ago, the technological revolution began with the invention of the classic telephone, followed by the radio and television. The first mobile phone, Motorola DynaTAC, launched in 1983.
In 1982, Nokia introduced its Mobira Senator, a heavy, analog phone resembling a car phone. Nokia’s first truly portable model, the Mobira Cityman, was released in 1987 and became popular in Europe.
Since then, mobile devices evolved rapidly, with brands like Motorola, Samsung, Siemens, and Sony Ericsson competing in innovation.
The younger generation grew up with smartphones, starting with Apple’s iPhone 2G in 2007, which changed mobile technology by introducing touchscreens and combining internet, music, and cameras. Today, tech giants continue to impress us each year with new features and cutting-edge devices, and we’re here to share this fascinating journey with you.

Sony Ericsson W508 Review: The Classic Flip Phone from Sony Ericsson
It was October 2008 announced but as non HP employee you could not buy it until March 2009. I loved my iPaq Data Messenger, i worked for HP when it came out. I installed Navigon on it, played alot Lucas Art adventures on it with ScummVM, had a IRC Client on it running which connected to my own server were it acted as a bridge to ICQ, Jabber, MSN etc which was gread because data plans were expensive these days in Germany and IRC performed well over the GPRS base speed of 9600Baud.
Thanks for sharing your experience 🫡🫡💚
