I think in some ways its more difficult to recreate this, than it was to create it originally, because Howlett wasnt trying to match something else 100%. But of course he had the creative vision and musicality to make something out of all those samples. I'll never forget when i first saw / heard this track in 96. It was quite a shock, seeing this electronic and punk mashup. They say it was Oasis's third album that killed off Britpop but id argued this did. It made everything else sound and look so tired.
This is INSANELY accurate!!!
Второй такой группы не будет
Bummer that the most iconic part of the track, the drums, he didn't even cut himself.
Liam Howlett Genius
I personally think that simply experimenting with samples led to the final song, there was no clear vision, just playing around and let it sound good. Presets from a Roland JD-990 with Vintage-Card and a Korg Prophecy did the rest.
The extra little tweaks you have put into it really take it to the next level.
9:52 блять, твой переход на галоп, прям до слёз.
holy shit the breeders? that's killer
How did he know where all the samples come from?
Listen to enough things and you kinda start to know also browsing sample packs.
I'm pretty sure Howlett is proud!
That part from 9:48 onward reminds me of Shpongle, probably the only electronic music I prefer over The Prodigy. Thank you for the great video, friend
you made the end super funny, i like it :) Thank You
8:01 that synth is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard in my life.
god damm,dud!!🤘🤘
Do they owe royalties to all these musicians? I mean they sample so much do they even make money?
NO , drums were from ten city tune . . . .. .
This is why I love RUclips
This was awesome mate. New subscriber ✌🏻
The "hey!" sample originates from a sample library from the Fairlight CMI... The first ever sample based synthesizer
Master class !
So sick! Would you be willing to post the stems of this pls?
Impressive!!!!!!!
After 10 years i still have yet to see remakes as good as Jimmy.
it's my own secret technique hahahaha...
0:53👍
Хера ты шаришь
Liam Howlett did this WITH HARDWARE...IN 1996
Это достойно уважения
Have only 17,000 likes?
Never forget the original drumbreak from ten city-devotion
I don't think I've ever seen a recreated track trigger a content match before. Has this given you a copyright strike?
Seeing this helps me so much understand how music can be made, I think the modified sample approach is more my style, and I didn't know it was a thing until now. Synths are so overwhelming... this is just amazing!!
Herkes yıldızları seyredebilir. Ancak yıldızlara herkes gidemez.
Herkes yıldızları seyredebilir. Ancak yıldızlara herkes gidemez.
Great rinse lad....
I remember this video when it dropped. At the time nobody was sampling creatively, but soft synths were the thing.
#made
Great `work
tha shiz
Liam howlet is a fuking genius
Yeh i think your version is better than the original
From the start to the recreation of the guitar wah wah 🫨 to the final remix - ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!! 🔥🔥🔥
Amazing Breakdown!!!
Check out Jim Pavloff's "Voodoo People" and "Smack My Bitch Up" recreations on his official RUclips page. The man knows what he's doing.
🥇🏆💣Smashin Work
Ok. 9:52 is what made me move from my phone to my larger sound system, so I could hear more detail.
What the actual fuck 😦 my mind is blowed, how did you find out all of this shit? 😵
Amazing! How did you make the bassline? 2:29 What note does it play at?
Охуенно
