Banded Deadlift Drill One of my online clients said on her deadlifts the bar has a tendency to get away from her and she doesn't maintain contact of the barbell with the body during the whole deadlift. This drill is great to help with this and more. This banded deadlift variation is great for a few important things. 1. Learning to create and keep lat tension. 2. Keeping the bar close to and in ...

    “B U L L S H I T……. IF you need to DROP the weight then you should NOT try to LIFT it as the WEIGHT should be LOWERED EXACTLY THE WAY THAT IT IS LIFTED………. THIS will strengthen your back TEN FOLD……. IF you don’t believe me look up Mike Mentzer’s ‘HEAVY DUTY’ way of training…..!?!?!? S E R I O U S L Y……,!!!! Which PROVES beyond a doubt that ANYBODY who NEEDS to drop the weight should NOT be lifting it in the first place……!?!?! 🤔👍

    I watch you and Megsquats . Ive only been doing eccentrics but your explanation makes so much sence about training my static holds in bottom,top and midway position of the pull up. After 5 weeks i got my nose to the bar 😮Im 55 years old and my goal is to get 10 pullups. Ive tried wirh bands for years with no results. Im so grateful for these videos . Especially the cues you explain about the core, elbows and belly button ro the sky . And training the holds to strenthen grip and muscle fireing in the back/ lats. I know my first full pull up is weeks away 😊

  • @deidreking4472
    @deidreking4472 6 месяцев назад

    I used bands for years off and on and the assistant pull up machine for years and could never get a pull up. Once I started doing eccentrics I got a pull up in 5 weeks where I got my nose to the bar . I'm almost there . !! Maybe two more weeks and I think I'll have my first pull up .

    How often do I do this? Is there any way it can be done every squat day? Will it REALLY fry my CNS if I do it that often?

    • @HomelessShoe
      @HomelessShoe 4 месяца назад

      I just do it right after my warming up sets. In my experience it's a good way drill your body and make your body ready for your main sets. If you're starting with 15-20% above your 1RM (I hold it around 8-10 sec before racking it), then psychologically your squat weight (65% - 95%+) feels more okay as your body is kinda tuned in for 120%RM. I think it's predominately a mental drill and to me it doesn't feel quite taxing to my central nerves system. I definitely feel less scared under the heavy load when I do that first.

    Mmmmm, I see your point, but sometimes you dont have enough lat machines to start easy. Is just a help, like when a spotter helps someone in the bench press, Would it be better if he does it alone? Of course, but is just that, a little help
