I am trying to follow this tutorial however at at the color picker section I have no color picker under common. Am I doing something wrong?
placing the fixture in the ground in that way and spread them inverting them you are not messing with the fixture number order so in some fx you could'nt see what you expecting? (like linear fx from right to left?)

Strangely with MAtricks i cannot set the X value to 0... it just grays out and does nothing X1 and group 2 works.. however while selecting all in the layout it didnt work.. i had to select each fixture one by one for it to work :(

Is there a way to have a front drop opening in the 3D window? Or a backdrop opening from black to a white one that is behind? Or any other objects moving. Like an object lowered from the truss down to the stage, like a box or whatever. I have some ideas like that, but it would be fun to create them here and show my band members what it might look like.

To get timecode triggers on the beat (120 Bpm= 120 beat ) I use an MA2 plugin that convert reaper markers to timecode cues. Then use hyperdeck videoplayer to get audio/video and timecode to MA3. Also you can fed the timecode to Resolume software.

Hello , Thanks for your video its very instructive I have a question tho . I am working on grandma3onPC without any hardware and when I turn on the sound in the timecode I cant have the sound in my headset , nothing is going out. My headset is set as the output in the configuration , so I dont understand
if you have figured anything out, please let me know i am sturggling witht he same issue, is only comming from my speakers not headphones
i figured out how to fix it. Navigate to menu(settings icon)>settings >onPC Local Settings>Audio Out Device> select Headphones

Yo !! This is awesome. Does anyone know how to make audio files appear when you are trying to import them? Where those 2 songs were in your import window mine is always blank and there aren’t any files to import.
Yes! Copy the sound file (mp3, wav, etc..) to the sounds file in the MA3 directory. If you are on Windows; C:\ProgramData\MALightingTechnology\gma3_library\media\sounds If you are on Mac; [System HD]/Users/[User Name]/MALightingTechnology/gma3_library/media/sounds Hope this helps!
Why not just use recipes ?
That is a better way of doing this in my opinion, however a bit more work. This solution was supposed to be more of a fast but less versatile way of doing things. Great idea though!
I dunno man recipes are a lot faster than writing a bunch of macros and considering there is already a colour picker grid in the MA start show this seems like a waste of time. I use the copy preset at macro for my colour effects engine but I still write them into sequences so I can have changing appearances without using macros cause macros for something as simple as an appearance change is very Ma2

This is super helpful. I’m just starting to learn MA. I’m coming over from Chamsys. And while this is still far more upfront programming than I need to do on Chamsys this is the closest thing I’ve found to my Chamsys workflow.
