The reason they may have included earth on Jarl is to provide a slight defensiveness boost if you want to build into the earth side a bit more. Possibly even to let people just continue to use a large percentage of their Oldhim deck. I could very easily see them releasing a Young Jarl hero in the future that is just an Ice Guardian. I know that young heroes are usually just copies of the adult version, but it feels like it could be a fun way to show his evolution.

I disagree with most points here but respect your opinion. What you are asking for is tanking the EV of the sets. Ive been collecting FAB for 4 years and ive on average spent $50-$100 on product and the game monthly. I personally think if the game was dirt cheap it would have another effect of pushing collectors out the door. None of the fables are completely turning a game around and having no block value at times is actually a down side. Bravo and Fai are both quite cheap to build and CNC isnt completely game changing.

Actually the MSRP in the Product sheet is: 59.90. I actually learn this cause I friend who is new was excited, told him the deck was probably around 40, and he send me the correct info later. I don't know if this is because of the Number of majestics and 1 Legendary in there, but honestly, super dissapointed about that decision. Everything else about the deck seems good.

Sold all my TCG collections to play fab, so I'm entrenched in the scene. Agreed, not a cheap game and this isn't something I don't see Devs addressing. Just look at the current starter products lineup - the blitz box is a 80aud purchase. First strike decks aren't sold as a set with any additions, which is a proven kickstart for any tcg. Armory decks just drop new players into the deep end pool before they know if they like the game for 50aud. This game is designed for competitive play, but treating the cost of the game as the bridge to cross hurts the growth of the game at casual level.

Wondering if Sigil of Suffering may also be an interesting tech against enigma, as it could kill a ward unexpectedly...

Drawn to the Dark Dimension gets go again from Rattle Bones, Succumb to Temptation and Spellbound Creepers playing a go again action by the way. Any time you play an instant with go again you generate an action point.

Not quite related to these spoilers, but could someone explain how Florian's ability would interact with the 'clash' and 'wager.' If Florian's ability is active, and I win the clash or wager, would I create 2 agility tokens instead of one?

I don't think purgatory will cost more that $30 after prices settle. Theirs a CF EA that will have more attention. And there are just so many other options in the headshot that I think that will keep the price low. BoJ, CoP, even arcanite skullcap now that fortress exists.

A classic play you see is keep 3 cards, estrike for 7 And arsenal. Face Purgatory lets you disrupt their arsenal, cover up all damage and only lose 1 card from hand. So pretty good.

face purgatory does feel similar to brute headpiece flesh bag, they block and disrupt hand thats so annoying

They reprinted briar and Rosetta but only as cold foil Marvels. The Rosetta Thorne backing is amazing. It's a full art sword

I get what you're saying Vv about banning cards but I am very new to Fab but have been playing TCG for 20 years now too. Soon as I read this card I knew it was too good. A very good card for low-resources plus versatility is way too good. This is Fab's "Pot of Greed".

Art of War going is great for the game and it's future design.

AoW has been a problem for a long time. Zen wasn't the first deck to break it. Fai, Chane, Lexi and Katsu have all exploited it to some extent. When your opponent just double AoWs you and wins the game, it feels like a no agency type of situation they are trying to remove from the game.

Glad to see you making FaB content! I got into OP during 07 and had my eyes on FaB as well but was waiting for this Rosetta set to play new Runeblade heroes before diving in. Love you covering both and can’t wait for this Rosetta set and OP08!! (Marco & Florian >> )

The lines are good, but we have no go again after the high notes. This is the thing I'm struggling with the new cards is that they are very good upgrades, but are forcing out cards that don't have go again that are already good, like shrill etc. I'm a Vynnset main, but have been brewing with the aggro Viserai lists with the new spoilers, I still think we include the rune flash and red drawn to the dark dimensions to help draw cards to instant in with creepers to get those AP back. Splintering deadwood seems interesting to me, as it's trigger is on attack and on hit, so if we fire it off our runechants go on the stack and then we can still destroy a runechant to net another one without loosing the 1 arcane damage from the deadwood trigger, similar to the attack > Runechants > Creeps in response to flash in looming doom for a bunch without loosing that chant value. Lots of theory, I'm looking forward to viewing the legendries/ Majestics.

The issue with Galaxia not working with the ETB thing was errata'd so it will work with those cards. It was noted when the card was spoiled and LSS got it fixed before release.

Its a balancing act bc then you get something like mtg where everything is just printed over and over again. you need cards that cost more to be rare not common bc then everyone will be playing the card and make it worthless and its healthy and knowing you got a really cool card that a lot of people don't have.

maybe rune runeblood barrier as a 1 of for the Galaxia lookup. with 6 chants you can find it and play it for 0 and have go again into a dirge to pop the aura and make 3 more. sounds pretty solid. but perhaps thats more of a turtleburst line.

I had an opening hand last night of mordred tide,become the arknight, read the runes and a blue spellblade assault.... Mordred then become sac the spell blade and get a deadwood dirge... Use deadwood to sac a runechant then read the runee....turn 0 i made 13 runechants.
