I have no clue how you hold the bottom stick that way. It just slides off to the back of the ring finger. I think my hands just aren’t built this way

My biggest problem is I have really bad calluses on the sides of my fingers, which ends up with the chopsticks constantly sliding around in my fingers (both, not just one or the other). I end up having to grip chopsticks so hard that it kills my hands. I also have the same issues with pens and pencils that don't have silicon or rubber grips. For people who don't have calluses on their fingers, the best way I can describe it is to imagine you glue really fine grit sandpaper to your hands, then try to do anything dexterous with smooth small objects like holding chopsticks, any slight bit of movement causes them to slip unless you pinch or grab things with a lot of force. I just wish the wooden chopsticks offered by restaurants had a rougher texture where they're supposed to be held, so I could hold them without having to cramp up my hand while trying to eat. Chances are though, I'm probably going to have to scour the internet to look for a set of chopsticks to take with me that have some sort of grip on them.

actually if i hold in it "proper" way my top chopstick is turned sideways so they dont touch, using index fingers is so easy... maybe my hand is deformed :D so i am using only 3 fingers in total.

I’m sorry right but I’m either retarded or chopsticks are the worst invention ever. My ring finger that’s meant to build tension on the bottom just fucking slips up no matter what I do or how I change my form. The fuck is going on?

The thing i will never understand is not bending the thumb. It's almost involuntary. Also the middle finger always gets in the way.

On my right hand i keep crossing like an x from the top. On my lefr hand i struggle to hold the bottom. Both hands i cant even hold the top without a big gap my hands hurt. X.x 8 know it takes practice but the motions my fingers make i cant seem to not cross the chopsticks.
