After an amazing and unreal Afghanistan trip, this vlog is all about reflecting on this surreal trip as we spend one last night in Jalalabad and headed off to cross the Torkham Border, the most infamous border crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
After crossing at Shir Khan Bandar border from Tajikistan, we spent a night in Kunduz before heading to Mazar e Sharif, Balkh, Kabul, and Bamyan. All unique - all worthwhile, especially for adventurous backpackers looking to experience real, raw travel at its best.

I think the utubers are running out of money and they are repeating the old programs and only changing the date. For last few months even not local people can cross the Turkham border and must of the time its closed and even the security forces of both countries fire on each other on regular basis. The title of this report (craziest border) is a shame to afghans and to Afghanistan as whole. Afghanistan, may be a poor country but it’s the proudest country in the world. Enjoy a few joints, maybe in Pakistan.
A few points here: 1. This was filmed in October 2023. I’ll update the description on that. The border was open then. 2. “Craziest” has a different context in American English slang and does not mean bad, it was a crazy adventure in a good way. The word wild is also the same. 3. The Afghan side of the border was very smooth and easy and simple to cross. If you watched the video, you’ll actually see the Pakistan side was what makes this an interesting “crazy” border - the Afghan side was quiet and with nothing going on. 4. The entire video up to crossing is me talking about my great experience in the country with Afghans, which again you’d see from just a few minutes of watching

My husband is clearly featured in the vlog, with me the entire time. And this was filmed in October 2023 when that rule was NOT in effect so I cannot comment on it.
