Omg I forgot how frustrating that episode was with the phone call between Ginger, Courtney, Miranda and Dodie. I was convinced that I missed an episode somewhere when it aired because it felt like a build up to a part two. The next episode all is forgiven. My ultimate ending is Ginger and Courtney getting together lol. Courtney is clearly crushing on Ginger hard.

I loved these specific tween cartoons so much. I wish there were more like this. I always preferred ATBG but also liked AGU.

I must have watched this series at least 4 times and there was stuff in this video I never noticed. I loved this show and I hope maybe even down the line we can get a season 4. Joe Pera is this generations Mr. Rogersbut for adults and should get another shot on TV.

I love As told by Ginger, same thing happened to me. I loved All grown up when i was younger. But now finally watching Ginger, i absolutely love it. It feels so real, i see the point of view of lois now that im a mother. Its a great show. 🫶

All Grown up! was very decent show, but it simply can´t compete with original Rugrats. Same for Disney´s Doug - it was good...first doug had something more to offer. And maybe it´s just me. Growing really pains and those are still nearly the same in adulthood. It´s probably easier just to remind simpler times.

Cree Summers is so iconic. It’s such a shame there weren’t more female black voice actors at the time. But she is almost every black female cartoon character from the ‘90’s to the ‘00’s and hearing her makes me so happy.

I watched rugrats since I was baby myself, the adventures I had after watching it 😂 when all grown up came out I also was their age, and I really liked that show as kid, preteen or whatever. Characters were so cool and pretty to me, expecially Kimmy❤ as I grew up I continued to rewatch my favorite shows, and now at 30 I still very much enjoy original rugrats, hey Arnold, as told by ginger. They still are interesting to me, and they have some soul in it. All grown up became unwatchable on the other hand - i was so dissapointed. Besides characters this show doesn't have anything - no morals in episodes, they are all shallow and pointless, to me it's in same category as catdog - only good when you're kid. It could be so much better if it be a little bit deeper as as told by Ginger or Arnold. The characters were so developed, some stories were pretty tragic and sad for kids show, but it is what makes them so real and alive, life is not only fun and games and they did great job showing it also not lacking humor and funny episodes. I m not asking for repeating same show, those two are different indeed but they both are about school, life, a whole different topics and situations, they tought you something; and all grown up could had it all if they added little more sence to their episodes. I remember how they indeed were quite versatile and had different occasions and situations going on but it's still led to nothing. Character development was on point zero, yes they were same archetype as toddler versions but what else? Overall it's not bad show but it ain't good. And maybe for its age category it will still be fun, but I think those cartoons should stay watchable for adults too I remembered I also really loved Dilly he was my favourite younger brother I never had, as weird kid myself I was really happy to see character like him. Actually one of the best things happened to this show

Interesting that you say you think Blake might have a crush on Carl--just watched a video essay where someone talked about Courtney having a crush on Ginger. Wondering if the 2 siblings really were romantically interested in Ginger and Carl, or if the show's writers were just trying to portray Courtney and Blake's strong desire for genuine friends.

If the new Rugrats focused on the now adult kids’ kids. Stu becomes the new Grandpa Lou. Tommy and Kimi become a couple and become the new Stu and Didi. Dil gets a wife and becomes the new Drew. They have a son/daughter who is the new Angelica. Angelica becomes a businesswoman and becomes the new Charlotte. Chuckie becomes the new Chaz, Phil becomes the new Howard, Lil becomes the new Betty, etc.

All growed up was a sitcom which makes change an impossibly, status quo is king and what anchors the comedy but it clearly wanted to be more like Ginger which was a bildungsroman which allowed drastic change over time. What a shame, brand integrity sabotaged that show.

Rugrats is the most creative cartoon ever made and to this day it's my favorite nicktoon And that's for all grown up well I just tried to pretend that all grown up doesn't even exist and as far as I'm concerned it doesn't.

I just realized while letting this one autoplay that you could pass for Stu Pickles (vocally). His voice is a little deeper, but I stopped hearing "I'm not even jewish" as a different voice lol

First time I watched this movie, I bawled my eyes out at the scene showing Bruno's painted plate. I cried way more than I should have. I guess my empathy was through the roof that day.

Allegedly, Courtney was supposed to have a crush on ginger but nick wouldn't let them go down that road, so they just kinda slowly swept Courtney out of the show since one of the most important plot points was forbidden

To start 2025, this video exceeded the AGU video and for good reason. You put more effort and personal notes into this project. I really appreciate your time and I know 2025 will bring new projects and nuanced experiences, because a lot can hit close to home.

Part of me feels like they made the kids that young had to deal with wanting to keep Spike on the show. I absolutely did not see them as 10 either. At 10 you’re still very much a child and a lot of these issues don’t come to surface until you hit middle school.

1:48:13 what i give the Carl side plot credit is that well Carl wants to turn over a new leaf and be a better person the side plot does a great job in reminding us their no such thing as a clean slate if the damage is too great as his principal was in the right to give the teachers his files in case of any problems well his teacher who wanted payback for what happen to his daughter was in the wrong for tricking him like that but should've made it clear he be keeping a eye on him instead of doing something childish

I know in the beginning she was kinda shown as a bratty snob but i couldn't help but love her from the beginning and I was right to. She really proved to be the better friend and I hate what they did to her at the end. She was a good person and didn't deserve that ending she got. She wasn't even in the ending and that really upsets me that she wasn't there and Dodie was
