The loss of our loving sister, Vanessa, has left our hearts heavy and filled with sorrow. In moments like these, it's difficult to find the right words to offer comfort and solace. 17/7/24 Dear Family and Friends, It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news of the passing of my beloved sister, Vanessa, who left us yesterday (17/7/24). Vanessa passed away far too young, leaving behind her precious son and many family and friends who are grieving her loss. Vanessa had been living in India for the past couple of years and was returning to South Africa with her son when she fell ill at the Doha Airport and was hospitalised for several weeks. She was due to return to South Africa under the care of a doctor and nurse in the coming days, but sadly, God had other plans for her. Another precious life taken by cancer. ♋️ We are deeply saddened, and Vanessa will be missed more than words can express. ARYAN BENEVOLENT HOME TOUR AND FUNDRAISING FROM PERTH 2024 On 24th November 2023, ABH was visited by Perth Community members Rita Govender & Jellen Govender, accompanied and photographed by Leslie Raman (Kree's brother living near ABH in South Africa). Also pictured in the video is Amraj Dursan from the ABH team and residents of ABH. Last year the Perth Fundraiser Community hosted a dinner and disco on 18 November at the Kelmscott Hall in Perth, to raise funds to support the ABH. R40,000 was donated to the 102 year old Home to assist the elderly, disabled, handicapped, adults and orphaned children residing in the home. The Video song is led by our our renowned and popular South African and Perth musician, Manogaran Dino Perumal and Perth devotees at last year's Ganesha Chathurthi Pu:ja. OUR VISION: Our Vision is to foster the age-old Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. We are many, but we are One. The world is One Family. We will support each other and make the World the best place for our children, their children and generations to come. 🌎 BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 🪔 6 November 2021 ~ 1st Diwali Dinner Disco In 2021, coordinators, Kree Raman Vandayar & Kanthan Vandayar hosted the first Diwali Get-together at the Atwell Community Hall, in honour of Duke, their beloved dog who was euthanised on 3rd September 2021 due to cancer. Within a spontaneous 3-week planning for the event, a capacity crowd of 140 friends packed the small community hall. It was a family and community social gathering and the meals were “bring & share/potluck/BYO” followed by a disco. Expenses incurred were split among the total adults resulting in a ticket cost of $5.76 per person. It was a memorable night and a huge success and many members of the community requested another Diwali get-together for the following year. 🪔 29 October 2022 ~ 2nd Diwali Dinner Disco In 2022, coordinators Kree and Kanthan decided that the Diwali get-together should henceforth become a philanthropic fundraising venture. It was held at the Amherst Village Community Centre with a capacity crowd of 240 guests paying $15.00 per adult tickets while continuing with the “bring & share/potluck/BYO.” A total of $2,000 was donated to the Shenton Park Dog Refuge Home in Perth where Alfie, an abandoned dog was rescued by Kree’s family. Accompanied by his doting new family, Alfie visited and presented the cheque to the Dogs Refuge Home who were grateful by the generous and humble donation. 🪔18 November 2023 ~ 3rd Diwali Dinner Disco In 2023, a new and larger venue was sought to cater for the growing popularity of the Diwali Dinner Disco. The Kelmscott Hall in Rushton Park was a large and spacious choice that catered for our 300 guests. Once again guests paid $15.00 per adult ticket while continuing with the “bring & share/potluck/BYO” theme. Our Perth Diwali Community chose to donate the funds to the Aryan Benevolent Homes in Chatsworth South Africa, which is a 102 year-old nationally registered Non-Profit Organisation that provides services to over 500 vulnerable persons daily. ABH provides care for the aged, frail, physically and mentally challenged, children and victims of domestic violence. R40,000 was donated to support these residents and the wonderful causes they represent. 🪔 Thank you for your support.
