I think its funny that people keep making videos about how cheap homes are in certain areas of the inland empire. These homes would be priced much lower in other areas of the country. The fact that the mello roos is added on is extremely ridiculous.

Would not buy home in temescal valley if you're working in San Diego. 2 hours + one way most of the time. Source: Murrieta and have computed to SD and it wasn't very fun. Nice houses though

Property taxes of approximately 1.90%?? Is that including Mello Roos maybe? Pretty steep for being more "affordable" since property taxes alone will be about $12,000 per year (and increasing each year in perpetuity). Ouch!

California builders always use the most basic materials and basic kitchens and bathrooms compared to the luxury you find in new homes in other states. It's really frustrating but I know that if you want luxury in California you need to pay 2.5 to 4.5 million. ; /

Having that Solar Panel mandate is horrible. It just further inflates the purchase price of the homes in California, and if you lease the panels, that wipes out any savings you'd have had with them from the power company. It's a lose / lose in my book.

Wyatt Plan 1 - Condo-style homes Starting at $584,000 --> not sure if this is the "cheapest" considering 1.7% tax rate & high HOA fee above $200. Buying a smaller single family vs condo or townhomes would be preferable,,,but hey, these types of condos and townhomes are popping up everywhere.

Honestly these prices are rediculous. Hope these homes sit vacant for years. Maybe then developers will finally make something reasonably priced for people. Someone living by themselves would have to make well over $100K to afford this subpar home.

Really nice video, but let's be honest. Those are not real homes. And taking the HOA and other fees, you'd be better off buying a real home at about $800K.... They are nice, but seriously. We moved like others to AZ to retire, sold our home, and laugh at CA prices. I cannot believe people think $700K and $500 HOA is a bargain.
