You should compare the same contents and if it fits into both the box and cup. Comparing bricks versus small bits isn't really saying much.
We were looking at piece count and gauging from 2 separate trips to PAB.
Why didn’t you pour the small cup into the box? One and done would have given a true verdict if it overflowed the box or under filled.
Perhaps, we were looking at actual piece count since these were two separate trips to PAB.
