MAKING OUR FIRST GAME - Collector Swordsman Devlog #1
The spectators are so cheesy…. People were never 2 inches from the dead front of the car… the way they move… idk very flash game esque
You may be overselling here.. but it’s a great game nonetheless
I just love it 😂
I drive the whole day for work. On my break, i play ETS2 on my Steam Deck. When i get home after a day of driving, I drive my truck on ETS2. 😅
True ETS2 fan!
It all makes sense now. Thanks for putting that into words.
Bro iwas making the same style of game but he made it
Bro, keep grinding! Only one very unique addition to the game can make it new hit.
@@moonflakestudio yea ima make it a chasing with same style
I've watched a few of your videos and just realized... ONLY 512 subs???? Impossible! Your content is very good. I wish you to grow
Thank you so much for kind words. We'll be keep creating content and hopefully grow!
One thing I loved about this game is being able to play it in VR, it felt so alive, so real, I just love it!! This video makes me want to play it again now that I bought a Wheel to play it even more realistic. In case anyone wonder how to play it in VR, get VorpX, it´s very very good for this game.
Very well described
Thanks!
As fellow indie gamedev i wish you good luck! The track is great btw
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Exciting🎉🎉
My favorite indie team. Good job 🥳🎉
Absolute cinema 😐👏🏻
Working with Ultimate Games on your first game is amazing.I cant wait to see the next games 🎉
Excitiiing!
I never can tell if i am doing better time wise until the end of the race
First version of ETS2 i played was 1.39 or 1.40 (fitgirl version) because I can't afford games on steam back then. I was blown away because never knew that there was a kind of game like this. Years pass got a gig as a freelance artist, decided to save a little bit of money just to buy a cheap PXN-V9 wheel. Just to experience what it feels like playing ETS2 using a wheel. It was a game changer, though since I was using a cheap wheel, the experience is still somewhat lacking. Tried to save more money to buy a force feedback wheel but "live problem" happens so I have to spend that money. Good thing I have an upcoming gig again as a freelance so I can finally save money again to buy a wheel and a second monitor.
i disagree about the flow thing. and maybe it is because I'm tired of being told what flow is... but it has nothing to do with ETS2. You could get in the flow state in Fortnite as well, any good game or skilled labor you love can bring you into flow state. ETS2 is great because of the constant updates and quality of software and also because it is challenging if you need it to be. You can learn alot of real practical skills in this game unlike most other games.
0:05 what is this boat game?
EST 2 was one of the first full games to support VR back in 2013. I remember spending many hours listening to real radio stations and making delivers.
Some time ago I lived in constant stress due to work, defending my thesis and so on. All of this contributed to me finally having troubles with falling asleep. That's when ETS2 came in handy, I had a rule of one max 400 km route before sleep. It was working wonders, allowing me to unwind from another tough day, plan my activities for the next day and just be mindful, all of that traversing through beautiful southern France or Baltic States. I owe SCS Software my sanity tbh
That's such a heartfelt story! ETS2 really has a special way of creating a peaceful escape.
I play a lot of ATS, I’m thinking about getting ETS 2 as well. Trying to see if its worth getting as well.
You definitely should give it a try! ETS2 offers a unique charm with its European landscapes and diverse roads. If you enjoy ATS, you'll love the variety ETS2 brings to the table!
For me, is the possibility to discover new locations and crossing borders what caught me the most
Absolutely!
I hope you keep doing videos, because this video has been so good and informative!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’ll definitely keep making videos.
I listen to audiobooks while playing ETS2
That sounds like a perfect combo! I need to give it a try too.
@@moonflakestudio I got ATS on sale yesterday and it has even better roads and scenery. I got nostalgic for the GTA SA and V driving around Los Angeles. I learnt a lot from ETS2 and I implemented these things in ATS. I put all skills into long distance and then selected the quick job with the highest price per distance, and then after being eligible to borrow 500K from the bank, I borrowed it and bought a garage elsewhere and didn't upgrade the garage in the beginning. I bought the first 3 trucks from the used trucks with atleast 4 stars into the new garage, then hired one driver for each truck and voila
I'm a retired truck driver and ET is a game I certainly don't play. AC, RBR RSF plugin, AMS - 2 , RF2 yes.
That's completely fair!
Please don't pollute a video about one game with footage at the start with another.
That's a fair point.
If only this game had some sort of engine optimization review… The stuttering and FPS can get annoying sometimes when you have a lot of mods, even if you have a good pc
Its just sad that if you play on iOS there isn’t crowd/ spectator 😢
I play it to increase my driving stamina. I would probably find it more useful if I was training to be a truck driver.
That’s a cool way to use the game!
As a person, who loves to travel by car, I can tell that Europe is very beautiful and diverse, and this game captures this element perfectly, here lies it's magic.
I just started playing ATS again for the first time in a few years, and oh god I'm addicted. Despite being from America, I might buy ETS2 as well because why not?
Welcome back to the ATS world! It’s easy to get hooked again.
@@moonflakestudio Yep. Bought ETS2 yesterday aswell
Life chnages so fast sometimes u cant really play a game, my heart is always on those irl things. I just can’t spend time on in game skills and play against other players. Euro Truck is a good break from everything, just music and my truck, Im just staring at my screen.
I hate videos with autovoice. its frustrating
Hey man, I can assure you I voiced the video myself. You're not the first person to mention this. Honestly, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I’ll try to improve. I guess while trying to speak English with the clearest accent, I might be pushing emotion into the background.
Death Note music is the least I expected in ETS 2 video, good taste
Perhaps most importantly, anger and aggression get you nowhere. Fantastic game, even better with winter mode. I would like to see older truck types as part of the game, as well as better RPG for the company and employees.
Adding older truck types and improving the role-playing elements for the company and employees are great suggestions. Hopefully, the developers will consider these ideas in future updates!
Speed limit off, flor the pedle quick save just in case. 😊
Classic strategy! 😄
And getting to play the game in VR all, but guarantees me good memories of roadtripping in Europe. But I'm faaar from 1000 hours! Y'all are madlads 😁
I'm sure that VR would take the experience to a whole new level. I really would like to try it!
Good video. Bad sound.
Thanks! I hope I'll be able to get a good mic and create better videos in the future.
That's why i have already 1500 hours in ets 2 of gameplay
very good analysis ! I have nearly 1000 hours on ETS2, and I am still not bored of this game ; I was curious about this game when I tried it on Steam, and I keep playing it with passion !
Keep on trucking!
Its not a game, its therapy
Indeed, it is!
Awesome video, one small thing I just *have* to say is in the first minute, where you list some of their other and earlier games, you did not mention Euro Truck and that just kinda made me chuckle. I played EuroTruck before I got Euro Truck sim 2 and while ets2 is unmatched (other than by ats, obv), the first title is actually a pretty darn decent game on its own, as long as you take age and budget and time into concideration just like we do with 18wheels

Great observation! That is my mistake not touching on the first title. Euro Truck definitely deserves a nod. It laid the foundation for what ETS2 and ATS have become today. Despite its age and limitations, it still holds a special place in many hearts. Thanks for pointing that out!
good vid use less chatgpt tho
That's a valid advice. Will be careful about that in future videos 😅
I have 13752 hours on the game, i dont know why, I played it since the launch
That's is just an amazing number you have there. I love seeing such dedicated players 😅
love the dude with big steering wheel and a laptop at 11:32 XD
Plus Promods a perfect Sim Game :)
Promods is just unbelievable man. It transforms all the gameplay experience.
@@moonflakestudio it adds so many countries, cities, road signs, landmarks and details its just unbelievable.
To me this game is better than GTA 5
Uhmm, I don't know man 😅
@@moonflakestudio i knew you would say that😂😂
ETS2 + ATS < Snowrunner
I've never played it. Is it really that good?
@@moonflakestudio they're just different games. Snowrunner is small contained openworld. ETS2 is huge paths with endless missions. Highway and lots more content to explore or mud with sandbox physics. One isn't really better than the other. Both have players keep paying for more content. More of the same but higher quality then previous stuff. SCS updates old locations, Snowrunner doesn't. One thing I do prefer Snowrunner more than the two SCS games. If the host of a map owns a DLC truck or map, then they can invite other people to use them who do not own the DLCs. Not a thing in SCS. Snowrunner limited to four players per game vs SCS having hundreds- it's just how it is. I spent about the same amount of money on DLCs in all 3 games. about 120$ . geesh
Great video, I hope you get more subscribers! I have been playing truck sims since Hard Trucks 2, back around the year 2000! I regularly play ETS2, with 457hrs squeezed in around my hectic lifestyle!
Thank you for the kind words!
