I walked around walmart 2 days ago....the moment I saw this thing from a FAR FAR DISTANCE, I KNEW it was special. I walked over to confirm my suspicions. FOr a moment, I had a feeling of surrealness...like WTH IS this BIKE DOING IN WALMART? I couldn't even believe what I was seeing. I had never heard of this bike before so seeing it for the first time without any background information was just pure mind blowing. I've owned bikes of multiple price ranges from microshift to Claris and Sora groupset road bikes. So I thought this bike sit in with the $600+ range of bikes I"m used to when I cycled a lot in 2017. The $250 is PURE INSANITY. That's <$200 of 2017 buying power. Basically, they're selling a $600 functionality for $200! Sure the parts are chinese, but functionality is the same.

My brakes were set up good..front not great but back wheel is GREAT!!

I bought mine last week, been waiting 4 months for this bike. I own a S-Works SL6, Giant Propel Advanced, Trek Emonda SLR, etc....This one for the $$$ is my BEST Purchase by far!!!

There hasn't been any of the larger models (med) available anywhere close to northern Indiana for months, can't even order it. Really disappointed in Walmart inventory levels or their lack of...I want one now not next year😢

I found one at a garage sale, changed the fork (which was broken) to an aluminum one and so far it's been great, a great choice for a first gravel bike.

I've got the ozark trail ridge, I've upgraded everything to sram gx besides the forks are still stock. It was and even more is a great bike.

The only thing I don't like about my G.1 is the lower gearing but maybe that's what a gravel bike needs? I'm a road bike guy so I'm used to being on faster bikes. It is smooth and is well worth the money paid for it though.

I bought on newfrom a liquidator.only problem was pedal was cross threaded. Upgraded the entire crankset.

My wife and I just bought 2 Ozark Trail Ridges. They are the M.2 updated models with 180mm front rotor, a microshift trigger shifter, and a clutched derailleur. Good video 👍

I bought it. Made adjustments, changed the saddle. I ride 12 miles a day 6 days a week. Gas mileage is phenomenal.

Did these have a speed limiter?

Should try out a suspension seat post and carbon printed 3d saddle. I got a Suntour NCX and Ryet on Ali for a little over $110. Great cause they can easily be swapped to other bikes they made an awesome difference when I ride on gravel!

We took our Jeep here for the first time 3 weeks ago! Pretty Cool place I’ll say, does get boring after a couple hours but still fun! Nice video!

What break upgrades do you recommend?

Just bought one without even knowing one thing about it. Rode it 17 miles back home on both street & gravel. And man I was not disappointed at all. After doing the research & seeing videos like this. Perfect purchase. Light, gears change quick, turns on a dime.

Coming from a local we take pride in this place, next time any of you come to brimstone y’all should try Raezachs country cooking, or el Rey’s Mexican restaurant, and another 15 minutes up the road we have a place called mooses sports bar and grill. Mooses is my favorite, great wings and burgers after a day of riding.

Everyones dogging the brakes and ive been locking and feathering and the brakes have yet to fail me. The only complaints i have on the g.1 are the front derailleur an the wheel set. Also definitely want to get a through axle front.

My Dolamite ALX bought 2+ years ago has been upgraded and moded. Dolamite weighs less than my G1 Explorer cause it was rebuilt with Carbon rims and decked all oils licker alloy parts. In contrast the Ozark Trail had racks and fatter tires to make it a adventure grinder.

Been enjoying my G1. I have no issues with the brakes. Got lucky that mine was dialed in. (and surprised) Just had to adjust it to my fit and add a comfortable seat. I also have 2 mongoose Malus, that are similar to the dolemite. I upgraded mine to a 2x minus the front derailleur. Gave me a little more climbing power. Added quick release front axles to make transportation in my Corolla easier. Added a comfortable seat and odi ruffian grips. I got spoiled to my micro shift shifter on my other bikes, so both of these got them too. I run the fat tires at 25psi since I mix paved and off-road during the same ride. (Max is supposed to be 20psi) It can be a little bouncy on the tree roots or big rocks, but cruises easily on pavement. Different bikes make for different adventures. 👍😎

If you come to Texas, there are lots of trails. I’ve been enjoying many around the Houston area both paved and off-road. Never been to Michigan 🤷‍♂️

The bike is not bad some upgrades make it better to comfort your fit maybe grab the top of bars. You went low it made ya uncomfortable

So why would it not compete with a 2-3k bike? With the same components.
