This is not only one of my favorite segments out of all of Fantasia this is legitimately one of my favorite pieces of animation ever made there’s nothing *I MEAN NOTHING I CAN SAY THATS DOWNRIGHT NEGATIVE ABOUT THIS SEGMENT!!!* everything about this segment is just pure perfection each time I remember the name Fantasia this segment alongside The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is usually the first thing that comes to mind and it’s for good reason everything about this segment is just perfect *ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!* The iconic music by Tchaikovsky,The beautiful and transfixing animation,the absolutely *BEAUTIFUL* way it depicts nature and the changing seasons,the process behind this project was made from *BLOOD,SOUL AND PASSION!!!* because they literally have to go outside in a middle of a snowstorm use a microscope on a single snowflake take a picture of those zoomed in snowflakes to the animators,make paper cutouts of those snowflakes, *PUT THEM IN A ROTOSCOPE AND THEY ALSO ADDING THE FAIRIES IN THERE BASICALLY MAKING A HYBRID BETWEEN STOP MOTION AND 2D ANIMATION AND ITS JUST GAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!* I love it I FUCKING LOVE IT EVERYTHING DOWN TO THE LAST MINUET DETAILS OF THIS SEGMENT OF THIS FILM IS JUST SO WELL AND IT IS MADE WITH SUCH A GREAT SENSE OF PASSION AND CARE INTO IT!!! This is one of my favorite animations period thanks to how beautiful,transfixing and iconic and gorgeous it is and I honestly can’t believe this shit is now 84 years old which is just *INSANE* to believe at I really fucking love this segment so much with all my heart I loved it as a kid and even as a adult I love it even more then I did as kid this is not only one of most favorite segments of the original Fantasia,not only just one of my favorite animations ever released from Disney but like I said beforehand this is hands down one of the best animations I have ever seen from a feature film period it’s just that magnificent and I just love The Nutcracker what more can I say? it’s one of my favorite classical pieces of all time and this segment in Fantasia just makes it even better and it’s definitely a great way to go revisit this segment for the 84th Anniversary of Fantasia!🌸☀️🍁❄️🧚‍♂️🍄🐠🌹🌷

It was in pretty good shape! I'm not a huge fan of the Rhapsody In Blue, but I DO love New York by Frank Sinatra. I personally prefer water shows with ceiling lights as opposed to bottom light like what's shown here

We hope this is shown again on the billboard in the fountain atrium.

The whole Nutcracker Suite section, especially this part, is like staring at a gorgeous landscape. Do you laugh or have fun at it? Not necessarily. Do you engage and admire its beauty? Absolutely yes.

This section of Fantasia is Old Disney proving that animation and cartoons aren't just about goofs and gags, but could also express beauty and magic without any comedy and still be engaging.

Gorgeous--drawn and colored by hand, when animation was truly an art form. 💖 Thank you for posting!
