I suggest that do your bds properly. Ore and lds have the same syllabus. Keep solving Mcq related to the subjects and make notes.

No I’m not dental lab technician actually my course is equivalent of dental therapist

@akifiqbal2223 I am afraid that this degree is not permissible to become dental therapist in uk… They want graduation in either dental therapy or dental hygiene . But you can always mail at the customer care of GDC to confirm this .

Hello, First you need to get registration with general dental council uk . Application and supporting documents need to be filled and after verification of documents, you will be given decision on your application .

That’s amazing but dds degree is granted in USA . We do not guide for the USA. Our specialities is in mentoring the bds graduates from other countries to Uk . Hello, it depends when you have submitted the application for dcp and as per latest notification, people who have submitted in feb - march 2023 might have to wait upto 2 years for full registration.

I had submitted last March. I got my eligibility mail. Now I am just waiting to pay and get the registration number and I’d like to know how long that might take?

Ah as i did hear from my case worker and got my decision letter and it was positive. After that I had submit my character ref and good standing again. And now I am waiting for them to send me a payment link (which is undergoing second check now, is what they said)

For ore- you have to visit uk to appear both the parts For lds- only part-1 can be given from the comfort of your home . For part-2 and part-3 , you have to visit to uk

Regarding practice manager, as such there is no defined qualification but the experience of some administrative skills could be beneficial. And ppl having some administrative qualification might also have an added advantage . Moreover, it’s important to know the uk dental system before going for such highly responsible jobs . I don’t think there is like separate internship u can do in uk . Because the curriculum is different and the hose job pattern is also different in uk. So u need to complete your bds training along with internship in india and then u can appear for different exams to practice in uk .
