It would be nice to see a weekly recap of player leaders across my franchise. Best hitter/pitcher of the week. Career milestones, playoff recaps, if possible top 10 lists of players across your franchise (Franchise all-time leaders, one list of leaders for all of your owned teams in your franchise). Players that have won any awards in the past week, best POTG performances, players that you have owned that have entered the Hall of Fame.

deserving, but one of the most overrated players of all time. Because he was Pete Rose he was able to hang on WELL past his prime to break a record. In 6 of his last 7 years he was a FAR BELOW league average player with a -119 RAA.

Hardcap leagues would benefit form more players created with lower dollar amounts. Esspecially those leagues with the 50M cap. Allows the option for having more guys that are under 1 m on a roster to build your team, rather than everyone bidding on the larger guys and playing multiple scubs because there arent enough of those lower tier guys. Maybe a commish setting that could create players between certain dollar amounts.

with a hard cap , you cant develop a team because the salary cap is too low. You need a hard cap with a salary cap for your minors also. This is not realistic baseball... you cant develop talent.

Beer League? Softball style? Not exactly - 2 divisions are required to have band-box stadiums, & 2 divisions are required to have big stadiums.

The league I'm in has a hard cap at 65 million .... it is to low and rosters have any where from 3 to 10 players who are zero salary guys playing. You can no longer build with minor league players , since you need the salary to put some kind of team on the field.

[Beanballer43 here] Like the multiple trade offers feature. :) Should make it a lot easier, especially near the trade deadline, where any delay in response can mess up your opportunity. We've had the variable cap in MLB Mideastern for decades. Made for a lot of activity, turnover, & fast turnaround of teams' fortunes. (during the allocation days) Haven't gotten a consensus yet for going to hard cap. Used to use various messengers (usually Yahoo) for trade negotiations . Whatever happened to all of those? ;)

Man, I think I started in BaseHit before I played Mogul. Mogul is still going strong and the guy that made it releases a new one every year. It seems like it's a one man show and he's pretty active on some baseball sim social media groups. Strat was my beginning and then BaseHit before trying out Mogul and OOTP. I spent a lot of time on those college football games and love the new one. I also had the Jordan vs. Bird NES game. This podcast is just hitting on everything from my childhood.

I've played nearly every one of those early baseball sims out there, starting with SSI Computer Baseball on my Commodore 64. I recruited all of my friends and my Dad to draft teams, set lineups and rotations. I would have to manually setup everything up; make the schedule, run each game and compile the stats. I loved it, but I'm sure everyone thought that I was crazy. I had a huge baseball reference book with past seasons' stats and I will would manually enter all of the stats to create each season. I was the kid that scoured all of the boxscores in the newspaper and got upset when the late games didn't make it in. I would dutifully await The Sporting News each week and look at every box score and all of the stats. Very nerdy! 🤓

I like the 1-day tournament idea, "pass along the pack" any new spins on these things I believe are generally enjoyed by the community.

We could probably get it down to 4 hours if we had time limits. The SlickSheet is defintely a work of art.
