Which CUCV is that? M1008? Or M1028/M1028A1?
It is a 1986 M1028.
I Luv the C. U. C. V. in Army Camouflage
Nice truck! Is it open in the front or do you have a locker?
I remember driving those in the mountains night vision drivers training that cucv is a monster.
What tires are on the cucv?
I swear you don't need a spotter for your CUCV just go..A spotter takes the fun out of it..I have a M1028 in great shape
yeah, the truck has been awesome. i got it with 29k original miles. havent had any mechanical problems. only rust lol
now go remove the rock.
I know this is an old video , and the driver probably knows this by now ... But if you unhook the front swaybar , it would allow the suspension to work ... Doing this would have made this section a lot easier and the body of the jeep would have remained more level ....
I'm surprised the M1008 is working pretty well, considering the Army beat the piss out of the engines. Even though I don't need a 1 ton truck, I'd still like to get even a K10 with a 6.2L GM IDI and turbo it.
What is your exhaust set up I really like the way it sounds
I would guess straight pipe.
M1008 made this look easy
Badaaaass k20
Cs Co, it's a D30 one Ton military truck, not a 3/4 ton.
:30 CUCV: "hurry up its my turn"
diesels just idle trail riding like that i love it!!!!!
agreed.. we went back about 2 weeks ago and this washout was waaay worse, i tried to make it down but backed out because i didnt want body damage.
What kind of lift are you riding on? Blocks? Springs? Shackle flip?
@page1195 it seems to average around 14-16mpg so its not too awful bad. i just keep it around 55mph on the highway, anything over that it seems to suck fuel way faster
@justinchevyk30 its been a while since i bought them. if i remember correctly theyre a pro comp wheel 16x8.5 with 4.5 backspacing. i did do a little trimming on the rear of each front fender to get it to clear when articulating. with just 5 inches of lift before trimming with the same tires i had no clearance issues as long as i wasnt doing any crazy flexing
awesome video
Looks like your running with a short leg the way the camera shakes!
Great video , nice to see this K30 in action
@MarineCorpsRecon1 its just a straight pipe with the inj. pump turned up 1/8 turn
I like those tires
Thanks! its a 5 inch total lift. 4" front springs, shackle flip in the rear and 1 inch zero rates on front and back
