A great flight onboard Transavia's 737-800 in the night. There was nothing unusual about this night flight itself. There happened to be a shortage of staff at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport which eventually led to an hour delay which was fine. This was a quite different flight than usual. Nevertheless was it still a great flight. As a result of the delay Transavia got us a free drink onboard, as well as passes for free food and drinks at Schiphol. Furthermore were both this and the return flight free because of the amount of delay. The cause of the delay was due to an issue with the airconditioning onboard our actual plane. Schiphol ...

@Mangomantv don’t worry when I landed in Birmingham my iPhone fell behind the window so all you could hear was the reverse thrust!

Can anybody put my mind at ease with this airline? I'm supposed to be flying with tui in September and have had my flight changed to olympus rather than a tui plane. I'm a very nervous flyer and I'm really worried about this flight now. Do the pilots have the same standard set as tui pilots etc?
The pilots are really good and we had soft landings. They are well trained but they are pilots from Olympus and not from TUI. There are also 2 flight attendants from TUI that speak Dutch. Nothing to worry as they are a good airline.
They also fly with the A321.
Thanks for the info I fly from Manchester so assuming the tui crew will be Manchester based. Thanks for putting my mind at ease. 😊
You fly with Olympus Airways a lot! What registration was this? and From which airport?
Well, I actually fly with TUIfly Netherlands, but as the 737max got grounded I am flying with Olympus. My flight to Rhodes was with a small stop at Chania. The registration of this aircraft is SX-ABY from Amsterdam to Rhodes. And the SX-ACP from Rhodes back to Amsterdam.

Was the Plane tired inside ? I fly with these on Wednesday from bhx to larnaca
The plane is actually the old plane from Monarch. The seat pitch is quite good tho. And blue seats, and a tablet holder. It's not that loud as a Boeing.
Did you have a good flight on Olympus?
@@samuelknight3826 Yes I had. But the staff is Greek and some of them can't speak English really well. But overall it was a great airline. (It was in collaboration with TUIfly Netherlands)
