Road America Karting Club - Points Race #5 - Briggs 206 Senior Medium - July 13th 2024
A very interesting day at the track. The feature got rained out, so only raced the 2 heats. Our 2nd heat was the last race of the day as you can see from the lightning at the end of the video (). Ran back to the trailer and packed up before it really started pouring on us.
Kart felt so good, was super happy with how heat 1 went for me. Ran the 3rd fastest lap time in the first heat. Without my mistake could have been a possible win. Bummed about the incident at the start of heat 2, but glad everyone is okay. I thought it was about to be a pretty big one when the spin in front of me happened.

Not the best day at the track speed wise. Trying some setup stuff on the kart and it was an improvement overall but I was having a hard time extracting all of the pace from the kart. Still got to go racing though so overall great day. Ended the night with a race under a glowing orange sunset. Was super pretty. The GoPro kinda hates it though, the stabilization gets poor at low light. Heat 1 - 0...

Started doing some of the Tuesday races this year. Need to keep finding pace to be better able to compete here. Was able to run some more competitive laps at the end of the day, but need to work on finding that pace sooner. Qualifying - 0:00 Heat 1 - 1:29 Heat 2 - 5:37 Feature Race - 9:37

Up and down day for sure at the track. Missed first practice with a carb issue. Heat 1 was meh, had my first real crash in heat 2 and went into the wall. Bent an axle but was able to get it replaced and back out to finish the day strong in the feature and finally find some pace and rhythm. Heat 1 - 0:00 Heat 2 - 5:15 Feature - 6:16

Had the first race of the year at the Road America Motorplex with Sham Racing. Overall went okay and had a blast shaking off the rust from the winter. USAIR Motorsports Raceway Open House 2024 - Briggs LO206 Laps

USAIR had an open house last weekend and we went up to run demo laps. Only captured a bit of running due to some camera freezing issues. The most fun track I have driven so far to date.
