"Penny's" Ryan passed away on Tuesday morning after a series of seizures. He was an amazing friend, hound and just an absolute gentleman. A huge privilege to have had in our lives. RIP Ryan.

Love the digs! Can't bet'em in Maine where I live. Only bets allowed are on harness and thoroughbred races, not even donkey or mule races which they have in Southern California. Worked at a thoroughbred track [Finger Lakes] in Upstate New York, but I actually enjoy the dogs more. Thanks for these videos.

I'm writing this during the 2020 coronavirus lockdown. I was active with Towcester Greyhound Welfare at the time that this Derby was run and on the night I had a small fundraising merchandise stand. I had 30 rosettes on the stand, five for each of the finalists. They sold more or less straight away, except for the Astute Missile ones. A young special needs couple were seated near my stand and the young man really wanted to buy something for his girlfriend but he didn't have much money. As the final approached there was just one rosette left, an Astute Missile one. I called the young man over and gave him the rosette to give to his lady friend. They were both overjoyed, particularly when the dog went on to win. That was a lovely memory of the final night.

What a fantastic bitch benny was now having second litter. Fingers crossed
