Dude! My brother bought this for me for Christmas one year. I was in between having a kid and moving so I just never opened it. Turns out even though it’s supposed to be on the switch. It’s only digital so I lost the code because I lost the receipt. I felt shitty because he got me a sequel to one of my favorite games. Finally, the game is on big sale on the Nintendo E shop. I buy it finally and fire it up this past week. I was so disappointed. I couldn’t even get past the first level. It was so weird. I put the game down and then after a few days I started to research the game only to find out the constant running system never changes. I could not believe it. Look what they did to my meat boy! Tragic.

I dint think its bad, its actually enjoyable to some people. And some of the songs are fire.

I’d rather play the peta super tofu boy game other than super meat boy forever again

What a horrible video, the game simply delivered what it promised in the gameplay, you judging music, story, artstyle and everything and comparing it to the first game just because of supposed nostalgia not mentioned but quite obvious during your speech, only brings you even further into the decadence of the argument about the game anyway, cry about it and be better at games

This game is a F*cking Mean Bean Machine Ripoff!!!!!!!!!

I think this game should have gone the puzzle route. So each level is a specific challenge. Like you have 15 beans/meats that will come down in the same order every time and you need to figure out how to stack them to beat it. This could also work with the obstacles. Like using a rocket to destroy one random color that then triggers a full combo or using a buzz saw to destroy one half of a falling pair while saving thw other half. It would take that idea of Meatboy and transfer it to puyopuyo pretty well. Plus it would help to train people on how to create combos and get better at the game while also differentiating it from your standard puyopuyo

I'd have imagines if they ever went for another sequel, it would be fully 3D now, maybe akin to the platforming bits in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, maybe looking more N64-ish though.

Not gonna lie, both soundtracks are kinda good, in their own way. First is more of a raw heavy metal, which I personally love. The second example you gave sounded more like something out of Sally Face (not meant to be an insult. Love the game and soundtrack).
