This coulda been better than just seeing the engine the whole video !!

I remember those planes for the incredible roar of their engines during takeoff. Watching it from the end of the runway for a relatively small plane, it sure was loud. I took a few flights on one of them with Allegheny Airlines from Buffalo to New York.

Being an Aviation enthusiast it's hard to take seeing all these beautiful planes just sitting there. But at least they will be recycled into more modern planes to fly again. I was hoping to see some of the Qantaslink (subsidiary of Qantas) 717's but they may not have started arriving when you filmed this. It was late 2022 when they started ferrying them to Victorville. After 20 years operating in Australia the 717 is being replaced by the new Airbus A220.

Thanks for this! Cool to see the interior and how much room there is for cargo. Gas and cargo! Love the KC-135s but the KC-10 is bigger and gorgeous with the tri-jets! Sorry to see them flying off into retirement. Hopefully some of the private contractors providing aerial refuelling services will be able to purchase some!!

Sad seeing some Qantas 747s sitting in the desert with all their avionics removed. I feel like it's such a waste, surely at least one Museum deserves an aircraft, there's so many and they just get turned into pots and pans.

I am 60 - years ago it was so normal to see the Boeing 727 , MD 80 and today we are excited to see these old birds !

Great vid as usual. I plan on being out that way after the new year. Looking at a map (Apple and Google) I am trying to get a sense as to where you are shooting from. Is one area near the cargo ramp or multiple locations?

World Atlantic is a charter airline based in Miami. They are probably in Laredo to pick up illegal immigrants to be deported back to their country or transferred prisoners

I flew as a passenger in these from San Diego to Sacramento. Great ride, great aircraft and it still lives in the form of P-3.

27:06 what’s the plane? Antonov? Just took a video of this plane at Laredo airport last Thursday off Pappas st.

It was the P-3 Orion for me. I was in the Navy Reserve in the late 80s to early 90s. My reserve unit was VP-MAU based at NAS Moffett Field. I lived in the LA area. Every month a P-3 picked me and a few others up at Long Beach and flew us to Moffett Field and back for our reserve drill weekend. Love the sound of those Allison T-56 turboprops. As a powerplant mech, I also got to work on those engines.

Why the huge belly?

I flew many times from Rio to São Paulo and Electra was the best airplane for that route. Still my favorite plane.

it makes me sick when i see a l-1011 setting in a dam bone yard i worked on them back in the 70s 80s if it was up to me they would still be flying today very sad indeed
