On March 21, 2015 Hartford Chorale presented a concert entitled Great Music of France. The concert opened with the mighty “Kyrie” from Louis Vierne’s Messe solennelle. Composed in 1899, the entire mass was first performed on December 8, 1901 at the Church of Saint Sulpice in Paris, with Charles-Marie Widor playing the grande orgue, and the composer playing the orgue-de-choeur. I LOVE THESE SONGS!!!❤ They're beautiful and have so much emotion. The performance looks (and sounds) amazing! My favorite part is "Benediction".
Beautiful melody. The performance is at a nice, leisurely pace, which is what this song needs. Some performances of this song are rushed (as if the conductor wants to get onto the next carol/song on the program), but with this performance, there is even enough time to think about the carol's message.
Este tipo de música se aprecia cuando estás en el teatro,...ay gusto para todos y para ovaciones.👌👌👌👌
