Looking for a University with an edge in Controls systems, could you please recommend one, Great work otherwise.
There are many great universities for studying control systems. We can recommend Eindhoven University of Technology, which is the alma mater of many of our engineers and has a robotics program as well. But there are many other great options depending on which country you prefer 🦾
I think they use the same gesticulation choreographer as apple does at their events it-all-looks-so-cho-reo-graphed :-)

How about you focus on the innovation part and not “providing a platform for people to innovate on”
Why not both? We strongly believe in granting educational institutions access to more complex robots, while also developing our own business cases utilizing the platform. However, most of these are shrouded in secrecy until the project nears completion 🤫
@@avularrobotics I think self navigation remains an unsolved problem until you make significant breakthroughs in AI. I think its better to focus on the AI part first because otherwise you just go around in circles with a rules based approach to self navigation which doesnt work.
How about you stop trying to tell a company how to do its business...

open source? how much? Where can I buy it?
Thank you for your interest Jason! ROS 2 is open source, meaning you can easily build applications for the robot! Pricing depends on whether you want it fully loaded with Avular autonomy (plus required sensors) or just the robot by itself. If you're interested in one, please reach out to r.broeders@avular.com
You think it would be possible to navigate an indoor space with only vision and leave the lidar behind?
It is possible, depending on the environmental conditions. Lighting and dynamic environments do present challenges with only relying on visual data, so for now we will keep relying on LiDAR.
