I had a class in 4th or 5th grade being taught by the school's favorite substitute. On this particular day, we were supposed to be doing the math worksheet she handed out which I had already finished, so I was just sitting there when I decided to draw. I ended up drawing this fairy lady and I was really proud of it, so I put it aside. All of a sudden, the substitute walks by, pulls it off my desk even though I was not associating with it and tells me I could get it after class. I was a little annoyed but not mad. I thought surely, she must've thought I was actively drawing, since she had handed out a new worksheet by that point. So, I waited until class was over and proceeded to ask her for it since it wasn't on her desk. She said she didn't know what I was talking about, so I asked more clearly for the artwork I had done. Eventually, she just told me that I shouldn't have been drawing in class and that she had thrown it away because it wasn't important. Of course, I was furious and spent a good 20 minutes scouring the garbage cans around the block of classrooms until I found it. I held a grudge and hated her guts whenever we had her for the next 5 years, and she did do something similar on two other occasions, so I think it was justified. And yes, I went to the principal, but she told me the same exact thing and we never really got along after that.

I went to a small religious school (vomit, I’m not religious anymore because of it) and didn’t have uniforms but had an extremely strict dress code (for example, we weren’t allowed to dress in all black (eye roll)) and this included absolutely no holey jeans. One day in PE we had a free day and I accidentally slid across the gym floor and tore a tiny hole in my knee, probably less than an inch. I didn’t think much of it because it was accidental, happened during school, and my jeans didn’t have any other holes. My next period teacher just did not like me for some reason, and when she walked past my desk at the start of class and saw my tiny little rip she flipped her shit. She sent me to the office for breaking dress code, and rather than dismissing it my principal told me I needed to cover it up as it was promiscuous and would distract people, threatened to call home when I protested, and put a huge strip of neon green duct tape around the entirety of my knee to hide the hole. In the end, MORE people ended up asking why I had fucking bright green tape all around my knee, including people not in my grade and staff. Like how did that possibly help you accomplish your goal of making my knee LESS noticeable?

I had a teacher write my name on the board, just so i knew what it felt like to get into trouble. It haunted me through my school career. I was the perfect student and extremely stressed out about following every single rule that it was semi crippling. Because if i did nothing and got into trouble, what would happen to me if i broke a rule? She later apologized to me, when i was grown. She realized that wasn't a good way of teaching "consequences" to a young child. Teachers shouldn't be allowed to bully kids. Just because your friend did something, doesnt mean you should have to pay for it.

I was recently listening to a goulet pencast and they brought up how a listener would save their mother’s handwritting after she passed because it was so uniquely hers. And it was such a good reminder how striving to be something (like handwriting) else isnt the part others want, they appreciate the uniqueness of what makes you, you! I feel like the legit company of stationary fans embrace the quirks and dont yuck each others yum

One of my worst art market (I mostly do Christmas ones) was during a blizzard... but oddly so was one of my best ones.

I have run out of spaces for stickers, but that doesn't matter to my treasure trove of stickers drawer. I buy stickers I like and save them for the right moment. I hate camping so much. I used to work at a park at the snack shack and I was constantly defending the trail mix against the squirrels.

It looked beautiful where yall were camping! But I totally get wanting to get inside the bugs are super crazy this year 😮‍💨

First of all, don’t know if you are farming engagement but if you are I felt for it, second, are you so thin skinned that you needed to make an entire video about a comment you didn’t like? You didn’t show the comment so I can’t tell how mean it was but even if it was something horrendously mean and an idiot just decided to be horrible on the internet what do you gain from a video like that? There are a lot of bad people on the internet so its not like you are gonna make people stop sending you bad comments, and what he said is probably true, you should just own in and laugh about it, if you are going to make a video every time somebody doesn’t agree with you you will be eternally uploading stuff. Feel this so much. My art is digital media and I can’t bring myself to edit or even bring out my camera. Something that brings me peace and joy.. Im too exhausted to begin. Its rough but it’ll pass🙏🏽💕

I've got three under seven, so I get the lack of time to dedicate to it. It's why I sometimes just sacrifice those extra hours of sleep because I want to have me time at night LOL.

What time of the month was this art market held? I have a few friends that set up and sale at markets and they often talk about how markets held in the first week of the month usually do the best for them in terms of selling items
