What the? Trekking Pole Stuff. #backpacking #trekkingpoles #gearreview #blackdiamond #hiking #howto
What stuff sac is that?
Heavy stuff at bottom, not top. Dude needs to learn about center of gravity. Physics is cool.
gracias
What do you mean bring the socks in and swap them out?
Show me how the tent will dry like this 🤔
I did this years ago. Tent poles fell out of side pocket on a extremely large incline never to be seen again. Had to Jerry rig the tent that night with rope. Lesson: 💯 secure tent poles inside pack!!
I was definitely a Darn Tough scoffer. Then I used them on my hike and ommmgggg. Take my money 😅
Great way to wreck a tent and its seam seals
Where can we get the poncho? I can't find it anywhere
@@gymfloor169 it’s on our website now: www.marionoutdoors.com/product/barepaw-gear-poncho/2216
That poncho is expensive
Not compared to sea to Summit. It’s a rain jacket and pack cover in one. And handmade in the USA. Worth it.
As the fellow say’s … “ It is ‘Made in America’ - by Veteran’s “… How is that ‘too expensive‘ compared to some other ‘thing‘ shipped half-way around the world , probably made in and under ‘questionable’ er, ‘conditions’-?.. I learned a long time ago from more than one mountain-loving enthusiast … “ Save up until you can afford the best of gear - then take the very best care of it ; it will do the same for you “ My first pair of ‘proper’ mountain boot’s lasted 20 years including a couple of resoles. Made to last - with the proper care .
This all terrible, terrible advice.
Just logic and reasoning. I like it.
Superior gear doesn’t make 20° hammocks, is yours an older model?
I call b.s. Everything in the same container ensures that I don't forget or misplace or lose anything. For decades, I've done it this way. Yours is not a "more productive way" unless your tent and accessories are THE ONLY THING getting put into your pack. Otherwise I'm dragging everything else out of my pack just to get at the various tent components.
You’re absolutely our king
12g .000 3”magnum
the 7s seemed like a major downgrade. almost like they put profit first.
You need also toilet paper to wipe dry after the bidet. Otherwise it's uncomfortable 😅
This is how stores sell you an extra stuff sack you don't need
This video stressed me tf out

I have that same Gregory pack. Absolutely love it
I’m getting ready for a cross country backpacking trip, to different states, to find a new place to live. Far away from the state I’m in. And I’m doing it alone. Lol
I have a glow in the dark Nalgene, have had it for year now and still love it
I thought the whole thing was going to be under 20 not each item
Ah. Nope. But that’s a good idea.
Mylar emergency blankets! They’re so easy to rip when you use one, you can never have too many. Also the UCO storm matches are a neat gimmick if you can strike them without breaking them.
I have a place for every one of those in my bag
Hope youre treating your tenants well!
hi! im from Algeria and i love camping hiking, can u send me those stufs to Algeria ? thx
I’ll have to look into this. I’ll get back to you.
@MarionOutdoors thx, I'm waiting u.
Stayed with you guys during my 23 thru. Thank you for everything
I dislike everything about this video
I tried to cook scrambled eggs in that toaks pot once and they burned so fast.
This guy has to be related to Josh from Drake and Josh
$402 can buy a lot of tarps. Tarps are lighter. I do like your enthusiasm.
Stuff sack
Tents. I call them expensive tarps. I’ve owned about 20 tents over the years, plus 4 or 5 hammock systems , some cheap but most top of the line. They all work. Over 3000 miles in 100 degree weather as well as minus zero on east US . However, It is hard to beat a lifetime warranty. Tarps( the least expensive and most versatile ) shelter are my choice. 😮
The term is ROI -- return on investment. At some point going 'ultralite' butts up against diminishing returns. The Toaks 750ml pot/cup is where I draw the line. Don't mess with success.
lol in light of recent events I’m glad you started over pronouncing the Ts in ditty
You didnt rate it 1 through 10 :P
Tent sment
Nope.
No thanks, I'm straight 😂
How do you like the stuff sack pillow?
Marion was my favorite town i stayed in while hiking the AT in 23
How long does that fuel can last on average?
Is it good enough to give up your xmid for?
Not sure yet. Need to take it out on a trip before I can tell you that. I wouldn’t get rid of my x-mid. I just think I’d have to decide whether I needed a freestanding tent for certain trips. Harder to set up the x-mid on platform camping areas.
What is the difference betwen the two? And also what does freestanding mean? No floor nails? I am not english so i don’t get the wording. Thanks!
@@martincarrascoso1053 free standing means no guide lines to hold up the sides of the tent. Making it easier to put up in rocky or sandy places.
@@charlesquick3656thanks. I actually never use guide lines just put the metal poles in the ground. Just in case the wind blows it away
I love it! I want!
Nice tent. Lots of breathable mesh. Great for air flow definitely not a 4th season tent.
Is it not a 4 season?
@martincarrascoso1053 no way it's definitely a summer tent if you want a 4th season tent you have to find one with fabric mesh its hold in heat and is made for the 4th season. Which is late fall and winter season tents. ruclips.net/video/TCf6Kp-u6OU/видео.htmlsi=t_O05yoDJFWqaPum This link👆 should help you a lot everything you need to know about tents in detail. Right there.
@@somerandomguy4149thanks! Is there a nice 4 seasons tent by durston?
I am very wary of carbon fiber poles.. Recently bought a tarptent and the carbon fiber poles snapped together, during normal use, shattered and put several carbon fiber splinters into my finger. Cost over $3000 to have the finger operated on and the fibers removed.
Dan Durston has a video explaining why these carbon fiber poles are actually stronger than aluminum.
This is the best explanation of this product. Thank you. 🙂 I am ordering one.
Thank you! Glad it helped!
