A twist on a timeless classic from Hamlet Isn't Dead's 2020 Virtual Holiday Show Juliet is written as a wildly intelligent and witty teen in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet - why is she so often played as softly sighing forlorn dimbo? Why is she so often only explored in 2D only within the context of Romeo?

Hallelujah I Just Love Him So - Callee Miles
I am a true Alto very low now being 63 and I find it very hard not to sing the Alto line after all these year's I have never been able to sing a high C lol it's very difficult to learn and not to jump to the melody when all the part's first come together I am so fortunate I studied Piano Classical for 8 year's and can read music learning Alto if you cant read music is very difficult it's so much harder than people realise Callee is so fantastic everything about her Preformace is Wonderful so enjoyable and funny baci x
unreal indeed
Above all else that is amazingly quick feet
I can tell that these are wonderful lesbians that have more confident strive and movement with one handed sword work although they have so much potential with sword and shield
Almost TOO close to his sword. That Wasn't at attention😊
Now those are some pipes
Damn dude just take the trash!!!!!!!
Starving artist must unite Support your local scene or it won't support you
I started joining theater and performance arts classes and I'm placed in Alto. At first, I was fine. I kept in mind that "The teacher knows what he's doing. I'm meant to be placed here.". Then we started our rehearsals for a graded performance next month. And good lawd, I will just almost not sing at all coz of the low damn notes. I was fine for a few days but now, it's been weeks and I feel awful. haha. like, I'm not doing anything at all. I am crushed. Also, ALL the amazing solo parts were IMMEDIATELY given individually to the sopranos. Not even a "Hey, anyone wanna try these lines?". There's an entire stanza there that could be offered to us. But noooo. And there are individual performances too, ALL FOR THE SOPRANOS. and they're disney songs. Altos will sing as a group. Yep. I will have this song on repeat. I need the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship to just envelop me coz as of now, I feel neglected. hahahaha.
This makes me want to see you as Wonder Woman
This is my favorite song. (As an alto in agony) Girl, you are so talented! And all those expressions. Felt. A little off topic but that build. You are gorgeous. Just everything about you. Yes. <3
That was amazing! I recognized so much of the choreography, and that you were both able to remember and so flawlessly execute that whole number, on your wedding day no less, was incredible!
NICE
Your voice is great and your stage presence is amazing! Great job!
We need a Baritone's lament as well!😂😂😂
I need a STUDIO VERSION OF THIS! You KILLED IT! I found this video absolutely randomly like four years ago and I keep coming back to it because it's amazing how great this was. And it breaks my heart that when I go to your channel there's so little music there- I mean it's all music, there's just not much to be had. It's totally and completely selfish, but I'm stuck in this place where I want to hear more of your work and there's almost none to be had. You're you, and you have a life, and if you don't post a million covers and originals because you're not interested in it then it's not your problem to cater to some rando on the web. So I guess what I want to say out of all of this is... Just know that you are appreciated and loved and this guy will keep coming back to hear you sing Alto's Lament as the years go on and on.
You’re amazing.
Love your voice and this performance ♥️! I’m not sure what my true voice range is. Being a member of a regular church choir, I help harmonize by doing both the alto and descant parts because the Altos and the Sopranos have difficulties getting the right notes. For our hymns, we do unison (melody) in the first verse, then I do Alto on the second verse, then descant on the third verse.
You've got it in spades -- just WOW. Please let us hear and see more of your magnificent talent.
as an alto i can’t even sing a high c
WOW i love your voice girl. strong and bright and engaged! your acting is on point too. also very hilarious (Alto's lament). And body figure is great!
Truth! Everybody wants to sing soprano. Those of us with a wider vocal range.. " we need you as an alto!"
Nothing short of exhilarating!
Just...stunning. Wow. Callee -- you are a force of nature. I am sure we will be seeing your name up in lights on the marquee and on the stage of Radio City receiving one of many of your upcoming Tony Awards.
We need to see so so so much more from you Callee! You are the REAL DEAL. Just......wow.
OH YES! You are a phenomenal performer, talent, and force of nature! Please post more!
This is great! So well done too! I always was jealous of the altos lol, but I guess then sometimes they want to be a soprano. Everyone wants what they can’t have!
How touching.
As a second violin in orchestra I feel this.
Try being a viola bish
I love it help-
This is GREAT!!
TOOOOOOOOOOOOniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii- altos the best at register switching LOL
We need a sopranos lament 😂 About 90% of “soprano” roles are actually too low for actual sopranos! Metzos (spelling?) are the ones who get all of the good roles! We just end up singing that annoyingly high bit in the background
whats the song at 2:39 i cant place it and it's bugging me
It’s I Feel Pretty from West Side Story!
Sweetie, you're not an alto, you're a mezzo
As a soprano I was always jealous of altos ability to harmonize, I never picked that up. But listening to this now I understand… you poor babies 😭😂😂😂
So I just saw Megan Hilty perform this live from Lincoln Center and honestly this singer does it better!
I am the opposite: more of a natural soprano, but I get so bored with melody, so I prefer alto even though I can't sing very low 😂
I feel you on this. I love the mezzo voice and the warm alto, but alas, I don’t have one. Sometimes they’ll let you sing second soprano with the fun, weird notes in true multi-part music (though in less-multi-part music, it’s just that you don’t get the exhilarating soaring note at the end). But for sopranos it’s generally all melody, all the time.
shes literally so ripped i couldn't stop starring at her arms wth😭
Go full force! Challange Airsoftfatty.
She's talanted, beautiful and funny.
my life
🤣🤣🤣 I started as an alto prior to voice training in my teens. I loved singing soprano (my voice teachers suggested I switch parts when I was 16 after they saw how quickly my range extended with training) but I HATED the soprano parts in the musicals my school did! They were all super prissy. I wanted rolls like Fantine, not Cosette, so I never got cast for a lead (I LOOOOOVED being in the ensemble at least). I had the range; wish my teachers didn't brush me off when I asked to work on my bottom notes. I feel like I'm the only former theatre kid that had the opposite envy here. 😂
As a teenager in my high school choir, I got moved from the alto section (where I was because no one else there could carry a tune) to the soprano section because they didn't have enough sopranos, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me.
Me and my future spouse
So true. I remember singing You'll never walk alone and hitting the top note at the end and being asked " Why are you an Alto"?
Because alto isn't about your upper limit - that can be anywhere. What makes an alto is being able to hit that C3 or lower.
I'm not crying, You're crying.
Poor Mama! (but I don't have the heart to tell her.)
Spectacular.
On the other side of the scale, as a Bass I can relate. We get dragged out for a color note or phrase, then back to the foundation we go. :)
