We are Eric and Cheryl, and we live and travel full-time in our 2024 Forest River RiverStone 421FK fifth wheel towed by our 2024 Ford F350 Platinum dually. We travel with our two Goldendoodles Trooper and Mollie, and sometimes our daughter Angelina. Eric is a proud U.S. Army veteran (Airborne All the Way). We both retired from 20+ year careers in law enforcement a few years ago and started second careers in education. Eric is a college professor, and Cheryl is now retired. We like to do projects in the RV to make it our own. This channel, along with our other social media accounts, is where we share our adventures and projects.
Our Solar Power System Build #RVSolar
We designed and installed this system with the folks from Big Beard Battery while I was attending the RV Tech and Solar installer courses at the @NationalRVTrainingAcademy this summer. We installed a 24V system with 3,200 Watts of solar panels on the roof, 900 Ahs (21.6 kWhs) of Big Beard Batteries, and Victron equipment including two 5,000 Watt Quattro inverter/chargers.

It' a Mitotech qi wireless charging pad. I got it from my RV manufacturer under warranty. You can reach out to Mito Corporation out of Elkhart, IN to see about getting a replacement from them if you need. Good luck.

Bah Bah "floor vents" ouch!
It was the one big detractor we saw in this RV.
EasyStart attaches to the compressor motor, not way down the line at the electrical post. I don't believe you can order that other product from its company any longer. The company website states "No Longer Available". The EasyStart by Micro-Air acts like a single unit surge protector insofar as it will kill the power to the AC unit if high or low power anomalies present. That saves your compressor (i.e. your AC unit) from replacement at great cost. Sometimes it becomes the sacrificial device and fries before the expensive AC unit does. The other product was a brownout device that reduced power to the whole RV, dimming lights and raising the possibility of damaging or destroying your microwave, TV and other electronic devises.
The Easy Start surge protector version is So much Better/Simpler!!!
It's certainly simpler than installing the EasyStart, but it has the limitation of only working when you're on shore power. On the other hand, the EasyStart works while boon docking and will really help those who want to run their ACs on battery power through an inverter.
