    You are all fostering victimhood. It’s amazing how you beg for money from the very people you demonize. Not for profit is a scam!!!

    Can disability people use a lyft app for transportation to go to the shelter about adult abuse when people call 211,I'm living with disability.

      Ride United can be used for anything. We are unsure there is an Adult Abuse Shelter in our service are. We recommend you call the Department of Human Resources and the Area Agency on Aging. There may be other agencies that can help - United Cerebral Palsy and Volunteers of America Southeast

    "You can't be what you can't see" is patently false. If you work hard and learn all you can, you can be whatever you set your mind to (even if/when it makes you the "first African-American" or whatever). Who cares? Just make sure you know how to do the job better than your competition.

      Individuals can call 211 for any type of health and human services. They will be able to refer you to any agency that has provide those emergency services and the available transportation services. Their direct line is 888.421.1266.

    How much is a transportation cost when people call 211 for the shelter about adult abuse,if people on disability.

    • @uwswa1926
      @uwswa1926 Год назад

      There is no fee to call and get referrals for services. Unfortunately, we do not have the information about specific programs and possible fees attached. Once you receive the agency referrals, the agency can tell you, what, if any, fees are associated with the program. Most programs do not have fees for clients. Their direct lines is 888.421.1266.

      Individuals can call United Way 2-1-1 for any health and human services. Based on your location, they will provide you with information about the available services in the area, including transportation and shelter. 211 and services are provided free of charge.

      Any services provided by area agencies would be provided with no charge. The best advice we can suggest is to call 2-1-1 at 1.888.421.1266 or the Department of Human Resources at 251.450.7000. If the person is a senior, you could also call the Area Agency on Aging at 251.706.4680.

    @39:55 Aimee, thanks for your question. How do I conduct blind resume reviewing as an office of one staff member?

  • @workwithtiff7458
    @workwithtiff7458 3 года назад

    @35:28 Nina, that was a great story of how authentic relationship building can create a welcoming workplace. It's the people that can make the workplace such a great workplace. I wonder what questions are being asked in the interview process to get a good mix (Diverse Type of People in the workplace).

  • @workwithtiff7458
    @workwithtiff7458 3 года назад

    @35:02 - I am putting myself out there. I honestly don't think everyone has a great relationship with their family and I feel like it is a "Mobile, AL" thing to influence being "A work family." If it happens, it happens. However, we can still trust each other in a work place without it always having to be associated as a family thing. Also, I think this way of thinking affects how employers view pay, responsibilities, culture, etc. A fair days pay for a fair days work.

    @25:34 - Suntrease, thank you for highlighting how names can be used to exclude candidates. Your comment to use Blind Resume Review as a practical approach to hiring, are one of those HR Topics that are quickly brushed over. I found your comment valuable, because you highlighted this topic, its easy to integrate into the hiring process and more efficient measure of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
