Masters of War

Singing Masters of War several years and a couple of moves ago (Pearl Jam style). Apologies for the knocking noises in the beginning, this was recorded through my webcam.
Daughter

Me singing Daughter by Pearl Jam. Backing track by ? Not sure, I downloaded it off of MySpace karaoke I think over 10 years ago. Happened to listen to it the other day and thought it sounded pretty good, so decided to share.

Original music track made with my modular synth. Very slight edit of the original live recording.

Under-rated classic
I was there! I was 13 years old. Petty was the reason why I wanted to go this particular night. Awesome experience
Long after Dark is a masterpiece
Am I the only one in history that thinks this is Tom's best album? Long after Dark is a masterpiece...
The strong carry on… Rest easy sir… and Thanks for the memories ✊🏼
One of my favorite "cover " songs that Tom and the Heartbreakers do it justice!!!
3:34 the keyboard player farted loud!
@jonathanbirch2022 hahaha, clever
THANK YOU FOR POSTING . Love the old stuff so much 💘
The Isley Brothers even bowed to TP’s version of Shout!
Love this song
I was there. I still miss him. Best three days of music!! 😊
Greatest American rock band of all time.
Amazing - very clever and touching beyond words . Just loved being on stage and supported by Cambell an dhiis mates to perfection .
K Love you forever Tom. ❤❤❤😊
It's a one story towwwwwwn
no better band ever & certainly no better ever cooler than Tom
Yesterday was my birthday and as I listened to Tom's music I felt his blessing from heaven falling down on me
This is before they 4 laned it and it became the King's Highway.
Tom may have been a Gator (UF) but this FSU Seminole Warrior Princess totally loves this incredibly amazing talented dude from Gainesville freaking Florida. RIP Tom. You are so missed. I'll always remember when your band The Epics (then Mudcrutch before Heartbreakers), out of Gainesville, played our high school dances and proms in Lake Placid, Florida. You were such a cool guy, kind of shy and such a sweetheart!
“When I was a young boy, my fuse was lit” yep.😎🎶🎶🎶
This should have far more views..what a gem..
Don’t ya the 5 year benchmark watching him and group
Great underrated song. Tremendous live performance of this song. This here is the best Heartbreaker lineup.
The keynboard solo from 3:53, that minute, is eternal.

The way Tom just stands and bounces in the intro to this incredible song -- there has just never been a cooler dude on the planet!!
So great! Wish I had been there!
Bought Torpeados in 79' age 10-11, and loved it. Anticipated more of the same with Hard Promises, but probably just couldn't appreciate that one as much because I was just too young. Around the same time I bought Torpeados I bought the 1st 2 Police albums and loved those, but the Police lost me with their 3rd, because Da Do Do Do and don't stand so close to me were just too poppy and gay. Loved the Pretenders 1st album too, and still do. Totally remember that 3 yr time period between 78' and 81' and how everything was changing so much in music, fashion, and everything else, and I very much appreciate being a kid of the 70s and teen/young adult in the 80s. IMO it was a much better time for humans in general, because ppl were unified on many different fronts, where as now things seem so "every man out for themselves", and too much artificial smut with no substance, like pretty much the entire music business today!
Fresh Squeezing Too 1982 Orlando where Arc They Now, Really
Such a great song! The musicianship is outstanding!
Hello, thinking about it, now it's 2022, maybe we should not say RIP Tom Petty. Maybe we should say RIR&R Pettys... I think he would like that. He wants to rock 'n' roll. That's where he finds his peace.
My fucking favorite
This is the one that I've been trying to find to save. Thank you.
What an incredible video to stumble upon! Thank you so much. When I watch this, I am 20. The moment the video ends, I’m once again three days shy of turning 60. I didn’t know how weird being old would feel.
Tom said music was the only real magic. See. He's still able to turn senior citizens into 20 year Olds. I know because I'm in my 70's and he makes me feel young again. I hope I get to meet in heaven, but I'm not ready yet. I love my sons too much to leave.
It hurts me to watch such a good honest brilliant man having a breakdown singing Breakdown for all the world to see. He hated being in the public gaze but that was inevitable given his vocation. Part of me wishes people didn't get to see this and those who agree with me are people who get anything about other people's inner demons and really give a shit.
Your empathy is commendable but really, it's a performance, he performed it this way or very similar night after night for years. He wasn't literally having a breakdown on stage lol. Just enjoy it for what it is.
@@adamrisch I hear you. In the same way that people think popular writers are all about autobiography .... there's some kind of alchemy in all true artistic endeavours. I have seen similar performances re: this song but all in the same period of time and as much I would like to separate biography from performance ... this was personal. This man's music helped people gain insight into their own lives; 4 generations. But he had his demons and sometimes they got the better of him. Performance? Yes but he was high on something could not have done it otherwise. One of the great transcenders. Tx for your reply and posting this!
@@evelynbaron66 You're welcome! I don't doubt that his performance was rooted in emotional experience, that's a part of why it's so powerful, just saying he wasn't having some kind of mental health episode on stage, that's all haha.
Love this song! The guitar rift plays in my head all the time. I enjoy the whole band.
T P --- One of a Kind, will be Loved 4 Eternity 🎸🎸🎸
Love Tom Petty. Saw him in person in Moline, Illinois. Fantastic show!
Great music 🎶, and singing, no one sounds quite like Tom . Wildly talented musician, writer, band leader, he will live on forever through his music. RIP TOM
Refugee was my anthem when I was beginning my adult life, thanks for putting this up and thanks Tom Petty & the Hearbreakers!
As I get older , I’ve watch all my childhood heroes fall. grew up on this stuff man, Ahhhh welll…… most of us in our 50s now mom dad gone! i guess i kinda get when they say that death is apart of living if its all the same its still sad tho. i remeber this like it was yesterday. Good friends an good times! So hard to find now a days.
As I do, high school days, the memories
My favorite Petty song and is so good live...
Mike Campbell on guitar. Los Angeles and Hollywood Hills hardly the south yeah? His phrasing is second to none among the lead guitarists on first rate pop rock - The Cars, The Knack, Devo, etc.
Yeah. I was there. Great days, man.
Lil Mike back in the corner calmly tearing things up. Such a joy to see back in the olden days.
Superb
Absolutely beautiful 💖
