There's nothing here to suggest or explain what makes these good remakes and why I should make the effort to watch them.

I've seen all of these, both the original and remakes and I gotta say, while the remakes are good and enjoyable movies, none of them stand up to or surpasses the original.

if the Speak No Evil films had been merged together, it'd have been perfect. the original had the better story/ending but the remake had the better acting (mostly). at least with James McAvoy. I was aware of the OG ending but watched the remake first and was SOOOO angry when it got to the end and it cocked out. like, angry about it for days because it had done a great job in a lot of ways. I watched the original last weekend and there were some things it def did better (like the way it built tension, the end, as mentioned) and it stayed with me in a different way. some of these others I've seen too and they were good. sometimes the originals simply don't hold up anymore, which is a shame (life has made us desensitized and jaded)

I think it is also because “Old Man Zangetsu” is actually a younger Yhwach. He despised hollows because hollows are like the kryptonite to Quincy’s and for years now they had to defend from the hollows that threaten their lives. And Ichigo’s Hollow powers are intertwined with his Shinigami powers. Making it so when he becomes a Shinigami, his Hollow side also comes into play. And also White isn’t really the type to behave, he’s tried to kill Ichigo on many occasions, yet Young Yhwach just wanted him to be safe.
