There's probably a dozens of places in south alabama that look like this, but would this happen to be basset's creek that runs through southwest alabama?

Just head over to the riverside fly shop. They have everything you need.
I dont know much about flys / fly fishing. Can you really just tie red thread to the hook to catch fish, and how do u work it to make them bite

Haha! Nah just one camera and a drone for this video. Using a Nikon Z50 with a couple different lenses and a DJI mini 3 drone.

What rudder do you have on that?
It’s one I made from some sheet aluminum. I traced the original rudder and added a larger bottom side.

My fishing buddy moved to Birmingham area from here in north ga. We chased trout here for years before his move. Just ran across this river today online. Hoping he'll scout it out before I make the trip to visit sometime.
It’s pretty good. I watched a big trout, maybe 22ish” rise constantly for a solid hour. Every decent shot I got at it the trout would run to the other side of the pool and start rising there. Lol The fish are highly pressured but still catchable.
@@thebrackishfly1707 I'm excited for whenever it happens! I'm assuming we can float it, tie up and wade. I found the generation schedule info and the only fly shop. If you haven't already you should come fish here in north georgia! Delayed harvest started on several rivers and creeks here. The upper toccoa is my go to waters.

That was some tight areas for sure, but a great day. (Minus the rod break, yeah) I started fly fishing out of a canoe in warm waters many years ago...its brought me tons of enjoyment and I'm happy for ya. I am still looking for that Cubera (how I found your channel) but maybe this summer. Tight lines.
