Sweet guitar, I have a 97 Drop Top in Burgundy Red, did you find that in Series Mode the neck and middle pickups seems less powerful than in Split mode? Sounds a little strange to me since I've expected the opposite. Thanks!

You can't beat an Anderson. The standard ones are great but the ones wired for multiple pickup combinations and series/parallel are lights out.

Those are really nice guitars. I used to own a blue one. The only thing i didn't like about it is the high e string would sometimes slip off the fret board. Wish i never sold it. I've got a new Wolfgang Standard and a 2x12 60w 5150 combo amp coming this week that im pretty excited about. I hope i like the amp i didn't like the fender 5150 III. I owned a half stack of that one for a while and i also owned the original peavey 5150 combo. The original 5150 combo amp cranked. I'm hoping this new one sounds similar we'll see i guess

I have the whole line except the ToneBender. I rank them FZ-2, FZ-1W, FZ-5, FZ-3. It takes a lot of work to get a decent sound out of the FZ-3 and it depends greatly on the amp and guitar. The others are way more consistent and just better sounding.

Great demo/comparison and superb playing! I have the FZ-5 and FZ-1w and have actually found the FZ-5 more usable than the FZ-1w. I need to spend more time with the FZ-1w. I’m sure it’s a gem.

Yes it’s a good one, those old DiMarzio PAF pros don’t disappoint. It’s rather “classic” sounding for a modern 24 fret HSH style guitar
