Join renowned Australian architect John Wardle as he takes us through the Burnt Earth Beach House, his personal project on the Anglesea coast. Designed to harmonise with the rugged natural landscape, the house features terracotta brickwork, locally sourced materials, and custom furniture. Wardle's meticulous design integrates Shade Factor’s advanced shading systems, balancing natural light and thermal efficiency, while capturing the coastal views and unique character of the site.

John Wardle's architectural experiments are always wonderful. The earthy interior and sculptural shape of the building, just beautiful.
Not my taste. However, I do like how the shutters open to the outdoors from the kitchen. When I build my next house I would like to incorporate that idea.
