Pretty running a couple trails i hadn't ran before. These trails are a lot of fun. Didn't get a ton of footage but definitely worth checking out. Waterfalls tight squeezes and V notches along with constant boulder fields.
Rock Crawling in Socorro New Mexico

Every time I head down to Caballo area to wheel I always stop and wheel in Socorro New Mexico. A lot of fun trails some of them pretty gnarly. I didn't get a ton of footage but here is a few clips for arches and edge trail. Was more focused on feeling out the new setup and learning the lower belly hieght. It worked perfectly and allowed me to push some wild lines.

Sounded a little dry 🤣
@kreyzfab just alittle 🤣🤣🤏
So glad i found this channel. Been watching so many of them. Great vids. Do you live in co. If so we need to go wheeling together. The friends and I have some pretty sweet truggies.
Thanks Yessir I am in Pueblo area let's get on some trails
That looks like a really fun and challenging trail.
Fun short trail system and local so awesome for testing
Looks like part of the Rubicon
Penrose in Colorado
Are you still putting the bed sides back on?
@russmurphy612 they fit in just havnt put em back on yet. Will at some point
Excellent tube work. Want to do mine next??
video came out great 🤘
🤘🏼
Man I’m loving this build!! Makes me miss home when I had the freedom and time to do things like this to my truck
Cage is came out sick man! Love the videos! 🤙🏼🔥🤘🏻
This is awesome man! Can’t wait to have a garage so I can be this good!!! Well hopefully lol
Looking sharp. That shop you are working in looks interesting. Would you consider doing a quick shop tour to show off the structure and the tools? I am interested to see how that chain fall is attached and what the structure of that building is.
Thanks. The shop is a metal building that's insulated and sheeted in. Chain fall is mounted between trusses. Not super ideal but works for the time being. Running out of space and needing a bigger shop but making it work
@@kreyzfab I have a chain fall hung from a beam between two trusses in the overhead of my shop (2x6 studded with wooden trusses 2' OC). I use it for hoisting things into my storage loft. I wouldn't hoist more than 200 lbs with it. Properly attached to the trusses, I wouldn't sweat hanging some weight from it.
thank you for being more tuned for the guy trying to do this himself. not just trying to pump out the most progress and content. you show the work your doing. thank you for taking the time to do this. i hope you grow but keep the content!
Appreciate it. Goal is to try make content showing what I'm doing by getting stuff done building cool stuff and using it but also not be all talking and super boring to watch. No plans of changing just having fun pushing my limits
Awesome work as usual!! How do you like your Max Jax lift?
Thanks! The lift is awesome. I will get a full size lift once I have more room but iv built a lot of rigs on this small lift and it's a game changer and a lot safer than no lift
Great video and super clean work.
Thanks!
You must not be in California deleting the third brake light isn't good I had to put mine back on thanks CHP
Can always relocate and reuse the wiring but no not in cali and it's a trail rig
So clean I love it 😎 I want one for my 84
Doing an 84 ext cab next!
@ that’s perfect
Tube work can be tricky, but u make it look easy. Great work man, i hope this channel blows up!🔥💪
I love tubework. My favorite part of any build and keeps every build unique and challenging. I appreciate it! I hope so too a ton of cool stuff in the works!
The harness bar is brilliant! I also really like your tube notching method. I'm definitely going to try that. Tube notchers disappoint me... But I do realize that I could be experiencing some operator error
Thanks! That's the only way I notch. In my opinion a lot faster. I have a few videos I kind of explained a quick tip on how to do it but every normal notch is 2 cuts takes some practice to get dialed in and efficient. Havnt touched my tube notched in years haha don't even know where it is
@kreyzfab I'll try and look up those videos, I have some tube work to do soon
@@kreyzfab you are the only guy iv seen on youtube that does it this way. maybe you should go into more detail in a video?
I can probably try that though I'm not a good teacher 🤣 and not really trying to do how to type content. Always tons of tubework going on though so will definitely always be doing a lot of notching
@@nugsmen9060 Google Chop Saw Notching, it's a very similar method. Once you visualize the area the tube occupies, you'll start to see what to cut away for each angle. Stunning work on this rig!!
Awesome! About to do an exo on my Toyota. Thanks for documenting!
Awesome man cages are the most important part of every build in my opinion!
Solid work!!
Thanks!
This is the type of video that that makes me rethink my whole build! Very sick.
Lots more coming man!
This is why god made the internet
🤣 thanks man
I need you to make my halo
On the xj? Isn't it caged already?
@kreyzfab it is. It is internal. I would like to protect to roof and down the A pillars
@tombarger2599 sounds like it would be smart to tie into the internal as well. Surprisingly gota roll the tube a decent amount on an xj to make it looks clean
Mad Fab work here! Well done Sir 👊
Watching from New Zealand. Nice work man
Awesome thanks!
Wicked truck and awesome fab work! Random question - what floor mats are those...? I need some better ones lol.
Husky liners floor mats haha
It was a dream truck for me before you took it apart. Looking awesome
Badass Job Bro!! Like always, clean work, maybe next year we will wheel chile challenge.
Thanks! I am there every year leading trails!
Love the little detailed compound bends🤘🏼good work sir
Thanks!
Is there a video for the building of the bed?
I didn't build the bed and it is not getting reused on the build. Going to be doing a full back half
Killer job
I’m watching at work .. shhhh😂
🤣🤣 just tell em your studying
Love this build 😎. Can we get a walk around of the whole rig when done?
I can do that and probably get some trails testing too if he wants. I know I kinda failed on that with my recent series on my rig but can easily still take mine out for a dedicated vid crawling anytime
@ look forward to it 😎
Just like that🙌🔥🔥🔥
Coming together!
Making it look easy! What's the name of the bend gage?
Called a bendicator
Where did you get that tube/cage start stop tool? Sorry for not knowing what it’s called.
Called a bendicator from jd2
@ thank you
Looks really clean. Forms to the cab nice. Great idea with the cowl bar.
Thanks. Done a few that way. Tricky bends but works good
Coming along nicely ❤
Thanks
Marlin transfer gears?
Yes
I had commented the last video about the rear of the boatsides, and i wouldn't have seen that coming!! Man!!! I love it!! really digging your content!! keep them coming!
Appreciate it! There is a reason for the way I'm doing it though that's the beauty of custom fabrication there is limitless ways to do it.
That is superb workmanship 👍
That is my neighbors truck
He let me drive it
Derek right
Yup that would be his truck
Awesome details. The doors are great.
What 3 link setup is that on the front? Want to do it to my 84. Love this build!!!😎
Front is 4wu 3link
Awesome. I hear good things about that kit just never seen it in person. Are the 14” or 16”
14s. Will be putting 16s in the rear
love the front caps for the rockers!!
Thanks man looks cool and strong mounting point
Great video!!
Thanks!
Good job brother. Looks dope.
Thanks
Awesome video, thinking about going the same route with mine. You don’t think there will be any long term problems when it comes to chopping away the body mounts and mounting the cab solid to the frame?
For a crawler that's how i have always done it. When finished this will also be tied front to rear with the cagework and backhalf. Even without boatsides I have welded hybrid cages to the cab without issues. Always run poly mounts for the drivetrain as well.
the video editing has gotten good brother, keep up the good work.
Nice job. What did you do with the tail pipe exhaust?
This one was already cut by the owner. Iv done them a few ways either cut and axle dump or just build new from axle back
