The reason people are they pay don't matter is because no matter how much we get paid, it's enough just to survive, just to rent, just to get some snacks with basic groceries. They don't believe anything will get better and they will be able to buy a house, have kids, live the life their parents did or a better one.

Quality of life IS more important than pay, but your pay largely determines your quality of life. It's when an increase in pay stops translating into an increase in quality of life that pay alone becomes much less important.

Ya because I'm sick of getting ripped off!!! 25 years I've had my AZ I helped build Ontario and I've been shit on time and time again.. I'm owed thousands and thousands of dollars but I'll never see it. Apparently it's more important for the government to keep getting filthy rich while I sit on the 401 for 14 hours a day for not even 10 bucks a hour..as far as Im concerned you guys can go get your own shit from now on... Born and raised in Toronto but can't afford to eat or live anywhere near Toronto. Cops are not doing anything about cars and cell phones every day someone crashes and shuts down the highway. I should be making 50 bucks a hour Bottom line. I can't even make 5 bucks a hour. I work 5 days 70 hours. Government takes 2 full days of my paycheck!! 2 full days pay!! We are sick of it and sick of you!! Go get your own shit from now on

training just isnt worth it. companies need to be more willing to take risks in hiring/training for employees, not reasonable to expect candidated to drop 15-20k for their class 1 just to not get the job. look for reliable young people and start training them, dont just expect to find a unicorn skilled operator who's willing to work for substandard wages

In the UK its the pay, the bullshit paperwork, pda work, cretins in planning, infantile transport managers, the hours, the driver data and logging systems, the bullshit, the traffic and finally RESPECT for the drivers. I done 39 yrs. It was sxxx whin i started its been getting worse every year. My theory is give the driver the keys, the job , pay them well and respect them and let them get on with the job. In the UK small companies are being brought up by big companies driving wages down. Dont work for them , let them lose their massive investment, it can only go one way and thats down.
