Don't know how, they are just talking how joker won against omnipotent orb and that is somehow make his able to bypass ger ability. But from what I know GER’s power, "Return to Zero," effectively nullifies any action or will directed against it by resetting intentions and actions to a state of "zero." This ability isn’t just about negating attacks-it nullifies even the will or intent behind those actions.

They did used EOH as referemce but it's non canon and the final battle is poorly written. For them to make Jotaro shine, they made The World over heaven nullify every joestars attack even the likes of Giorno and Johnny, but gave jotaro all of Dio's ability, with explaination that Star platinum and The world are the same type of meme like logic. They nerfed everyone to make jotaro shine amd made him able to rewrite reality with a stupid explanation.

(Death Battle actually mentions this in the black box during the post-fight analysis). Rule 4 of Death Battle states that: “Unless specified, all official material related to a character is applied unless found contradictory to the primary source material” They didn’t use Eyes of Heaven in Jotaro’s analysis because Star Platinum Over Heaven clearly contradicts the source material by having abilities that don’t exist in canon. It would’ve broken rule 4 However, GER in eyes of Heaven seems to work the exact same way it does in canon, so there’s no reason why they shouldn’t include it. Thus meaning it doesn’t break rule 4 Especially considering GER has 0 other feats or scenes outside of the final battle of part 5.

@@harisjaved994I understand the frustration, for a while I always assumed GER must be the ‘one of the strongest abilities in fiction’ but I later realised that, GER is only so powerful because we don’t have enough info on it. Joker Vs GER has always been a fight that depends heavily on interpretation rather than feats. Joker’s abilities and resistances are far more defined and have more evidence to back them up.
