Never once read LotF due to one class I was in deciding to read something else, and no other class above that made students read it again… so that I just never got to read it </3 But honestly, this is making me want to buy it just to read it, I only hear great things about it. Now I just need animations involving The Hatchet, that would bring me back so much nostalgia lmao. It’s been like 10+ years since I’ve read that book, and I adored it as a kid. this is absolutely amazing, i know im four years late but wow. this perfectly encapsulates their dynamic, the fact that arthur tried to save people and john and warn them that dutch was turning 'evil' and dutch slowly betrayed arthur just. wow. i also love the idea that, after arthur died, dutch was constantly filled with regret and thoughts about arthur, like it haunted him. and for good reason, too. jeez. i love this game so much.

I’d love to imagine that after Dutch kills Micah in the epilogue he rides out of town on his horse (probably not the count but a new horse) and sorta spaces out, causing him to daydream about a buck like high honor Arthur would, or a wolf like low honor. Riding beside an imaginary Arthur. Sorta like a flashback.

There is this one spot ingame I always visit. Ridge on top of Valentine. There is one tree that stands out by the snow region close to the hut of the crazy dog old lady. You can see it from that ridge. I always look at it while hearing “But in my dreams began to creep that old familiar tweet tweet tweet.” I spend hours there. Thinking about life. Of myself. And of those I miss. It’s a special place for me. Even if everyone else just passes it without thinking much.
