What to do if my eld provider dont have tgat exemption?
@Kubanaid5960, If your current ELD provider cannot accommodate the TGAT exemption, consider exploring other ELD providers that offer this feature. I would give them a call first and see if you need a software update or patch to be able to use this exemption. If not, you may have to split. Konexial’s My20ELD product is very popular with many of our clients who haul ag products. Larger providers like Motive and Samsara will also have TGAT functionality built in as well. Hope this helps and good luck!
Sometimes these add on feature options can be turned on or off for drivers to be able to select. For instance PC Moves may not be an option for a driver to pick due to company policy. However, communication of that to owner of DOT # or Units Terminal Management will get the sure answer on whether or not that can be added to listing for the Unit. I have not heard of a company offering ELD hardware not offering that and still being considered a compliant device.
Nice and informative
So in the past, I was on my 14 hour clock and I went off duty for 2 consecutive hours or 3 consecutive hours I actually got the time back that I lost due to inactivity because of a vehicle defect. But now as of May 2023 I noticed that my clock is not being reset even though I've been off duty for over 3 hours and 40 minutes. I still have 6 hours and 46 minutes left on my drive line but it did not give me back my on duty time which I had when I got to this facility in Virginia Which at the time was 8 hours plus
Thanks for the comment @BillCheshire_Jr! I bet that your ELD company has recently completed a software update that may be affecting this. I would try updating your app again or possibly re-downloading it (if it's a Bring your own device deal). That has worked for many of our clients in the past. Hope this helps!
