What color combo is this?
Appreciate the insight..my only concern with the MK-1..like you mentioned is that, yes the leather over time will kinda "stretch and or get use to the cards/contour"..so the concern is that when this happens the leather will get a little loose? and not as tight and for example you use two cards on the slot and that leather area will be use to having two cards and it will contour to having two cards..so what happens when you use one/less cards it that same slot that now has been stretched bc it was use to having two cards for a long period of time.. it will obviously get "looser" within the side slots...so the cards might have a tendency of maybe falling out when you do a shake test? later on?..this is nice but in the long term this might be an issue of it becoming less compressing…thats why some brands like Fantom and their X wallet..which has a mechanism/spring that compresses the cards and it will never fall out..no matter the amount of cards you have within the slot....just an opinion..
I heard a method that in a leather if the pockets get loose and you want to get it tighter again is that you leave it under a heavy book overnight and it should readjust, not sure if that theory holds true never tried it but worth trying

I got one several years ago. Gray wallet with orange stitching. Has beautifully aged. It’s the best wallet I’ve ever owned. Will last me forever. But I still want to get another eventually. 😊

I've had this wallet for about 3 years. It carries smaller than it looks. It breaks in beautifully. I don't expect to buy another wallet in my lifetime.

Hows your duffle holding up? Quality still good since day 1? Any repairs you had to do on it?
@@daisymontague9515Thanks for the follow up! One minor issue with the zipper but not something I’ve had to take in to get fixed. Otherwise the leather has held up excellently and developed some nice patina. I would still recommend these bags.
@@MrGuitarricajust saw your reply thanks for the response. I want the Weekender also! On your Weekender bag, are those carry handles removable? It looks like they can be removed because of the brass “button.” Looks like the handles can “pop off” if the bag is filled with heavy items.
@@daisymontague9515 They’re not removable. They’re totally sealed in. Those brass screws coming off has been without a doubt the least of my concerns. They’re never coming off 🤣

Loving it, Popov products just hit different. Big fan of the leather choice and it's still functional.
@@benball7118 Does it carry decent in the back pocket? Or is it a brick?
@Big Cheese truthfully it just depends on how many card you load it out with. I'm rocking 6-8 cards. Once loaded it is kinda thick. But as it wears in it will compress slightly. So imo I don't think it's too big at all.
Can you do an update video a few months from now to see the patina? I’ve got the same wallet in English tan that I’ve been using since the beginning of this month. I love it! I noticed too that the footprint of the traditional is slightly smaller than your regular bifolds. I definitely don’t mind that at all, lends itself to that minimalist mentality.
That's awesome. And yeah definitely I will get an updated video of this put up as soon as I get a decent amount of wear time in on it.

The natural definitely can look that way, but over time just gets darker and really becomes a rich brown
It doesn’t look like that anymore. Only the first couple of weeks. After that it gets more beautiful every week. 🤩

Do people like the unfinished edges on this wallet? I always burnish and treat the edges on my wallets but if people like the unfinished look I’ll start leaving them like that.
Me personally I don’t mind either one, but will always have a deeper appreciation for very fine finished and burnished edges as it shows the maker put in the extra work to make it nicer. And I appreciate that effort.
The burnished edges is a relatively new aesthetic fad especially with wallets, but I like it and do it with all my wallets

Hello! Honestly I am pretty comfortable carrying in either front pocket or back pocket depending on the wallet. I switch it up all the time though to really say one or the other

It’s definitely a beautiful chunk of leather, and is bigger than your average trifold. If you wear tight jeans it will definitely be a tight fit. However if you wear somewhat relaxed straight it’s okay. It carry’s well in like a jacket or a coat pocket also!
