I had just been engraving a compass rose on a tile yesterday and it took 1 hour - and I thought exactly the same thing: why isn't LightBurn smarter and always traverses over the blank middle. By choosing "fill shapes individually" I get down to under 30 minutes. Excellent tip!

@@mrcraftsmith my best so far is 25 pct tio2 and iso only via a spray gun . I saw a paper that said max light dissipation required 30 pct tio2 and spacing between particles , I assume the more fight the tio2 puts up the more it absorbs the energy from the laser? No paint companies will tell me the exact tio2 content, it must be a guarded core component in their formula. But knowing light scattering maxes at 30pct then drops off seems significant

I just bought an engraver to make some custom parts for one of my projects. The one I bought was an inexpensive 10W diode laser from xTool. After messing with is for 3 days, I already have my workflow form FreeCAD figured out and I quickly learned that I needed an air purifier it. $700 later and mow I'm thinking I should also get a fiber laser because I really do need something to engrave steel/aluminum (Create an indent deeper than 0.003"/0.08mm) and try to recover some of the cost. This unit is almost as easy to use as my Bambu labs X1C 3D printer. I think I am going to do some key chains and wooden model kits

This video just hit the spot for me. +1 for sub and I’m in Australia too. I setup a side hustle but went quiet for a bit setting up machinery and prototyping. Recently got a 10w diode laser attached to my cnc machine. This series I think will really help me on my journey to launch products too. Fantastic delivery of the content too. Can’t wait!

Thanks Larry - I have raised this with Atomstack and they have suggested that I create an affiliate link - so just waiting on approval - you can always head to the product page atomstack.com/products/atomstack-ace-pro-v2 and see what offers they have - I apologise for the inconvenience - I have been assured the 20% discount code works - so if it is any different please let me know

you can do this all in lightburn without the need for the other programme , import a well defined picture of a puzzle template off google images,- tools- trace image-select everything (if not automatically selected)- ungroup selection (top toolbar that looks like a human head) then disassemble your puzzle and adjust kerf to suit in lightburn by double clicking the cut you applied to the parts

Hey Luke - yep plenty of ways to achieve the same result.

I have 2 atom stack products m100 that had a missing power supply and a MR20 20w fiber laser come faulty worst products ever, and there got the worst customer service spent $5000 have e85 table and all the stuff "lol you get a free product" I could not even get a replacement control board. I have taken them to ACCC equal to FTC. I would not promote this company ever. spent over 6 weeks in chats and ended up reverse engineering the product and fixed it myself as they would not tell me nothing did not offer repair, refund or replacement warranty not worth the paper its written on.

Sounds like you had a bit of a rough trot with them - sorry that has been your experience - this is my first Atomstack product and I can't fault it

@@mrcraftsmith Thing with Atomstack is you can only buy some parts and some control boards. You can not buy a replacement e85 control board also the m100 has a booster control board that you can not buy replacement for if it dies leaving the m100 with only 70% output if it if booster board fails. The Wiring extension harness you can not buy from them, basically if something fails, you can not buy a lot of spares, you can not even buy spare motors. The company atomstack will not tell you what you need to fix it as well. In the case of this system 24w diode, if it come faulty... there is no control board for the system to buy if the unit come faulty like mine. You will find you can not buy replacement parts that are compatible for the 24w diode laser. I was lucky that they built the MR20 on old x20 control board hardware so i was able to fix it myself.

Sprinter. You learnt so much more by having to learn how to fix things (as frustrating as it is) you know 60% more than regular laser engravers. I've pulled my machine apart and put it back together for fun. I have learnt a lot.

Great Videos! Yes videos I spent most of yesterday afternoon watching your others. I hoped I help covering part of the cost of the imar software. If you are so inclined can you please provide a link to it? I would rather own it then lease it. Thanks again.

Again thank you Ed - I hope you got something out of my other videos as well - as for pricing on Imagr - it is a subscription model as with most software these days - so if you feel you will get the benefit from it then for sure it is a good program - I didn't renew my subscription as my work tends to be more design based than image engraving - here is the link to the website showing pricing www.imag-r.com/pricing
