9 years ago today, on October 14th 2011, 2% of the worlds population vanished during the departure. The Leftovers is an amazing tv show and I will always love it and hold it deep in my heart. It is a very different series but not in a bad way AT ALL. It deals with so many things and portrays the characters beautifully. If you haven’t seen it I absolutely recommend you to!

This new storyline in Generation Q makes no sense, in my opinion. Bette and Tina should have stayed together, married from last l word until now. It makes more sense to show now the struggles of marriage and parenting and working trough it together as a couple. Just growing in love with each other as a long-term couple. Unfortunately the tv shows keep representing the lesbian relationships as really short and unstable ones with lots of cheating and drama in the middle. When do we actually get to see a representation of a functional, loving, committed lesbian couple that is willing to evolve and work through the challenges of life together? I thought that Bette and Tina had the opportunity now to show that it is possible to be happy in a long-term relationship and to build a family. I wish that the writers could have followed a different path. It just doesn’t give a good representation of healthy lesbian relationships so far.
Plus no one likes to see Bette and Tina apart. They belong together…

All I wanted in the series was for Sabrina to acknowledge Zelda as her mother. She may not have given birth to her but she was everything a daughter could ask for. My heart breaks for Zelda ❤

I agree with you so much. She really was such a great character and I really only watched it for her. The writers didn’t take advantage of the potential they had with her and Sabrina’s mother daughter story line.
She’s my absolute favourite character in the whole series💕 I was crying so hard when Sabrina died und saw the pain she went through... not only losing Sabrina also losing Mambo Marie 😭 and I will always cry when I see this episode and the scene where Sabrina yelled at her that she is not her mother... I really felt that pain and it ripped me apart 😩😩 she gave so much 😖and she didn’t get her happy ending... I absolutely love how Miranda Otto presented/played that role bc it’s so authentic... 💕

That scene in Generation Q where Bette reveals to Shane that she isn't over Tina........ Jennifer just nailed it. Why she hasn't even been nominated for an Oscar at some point is beyond me.
