Can you really cancel A fictional rock band that makes only two or three appearances crossed all Scooby Doo media ? They’re first appear in the 90s and over the years may have a collection of three songs two of them from their first movie. I think it’s unlikely that they got as popular as they are. I think it’s mostly because their music is pretty good and The spooky Gothic theme We got these characters that are just weirdly popular I don’t know why we never got a cartoon series for them. Although that would probably just be a spookier Josie and the pussycats

A Hex girls show or movie would have be great, is noticeable how they became the most iconic recurring characters in the Scooby Doo franchise besides the Scooby Gang themselves (and Scrappy, but he usually get the short end of the stick)

Wiccan is a particularly telling idea about the "new direction". In the Original runs of Scooby-Doo they were always dudes in costumes. Once they decided "Monsters are real" that's when a lot changed both in tone and writing style. They kept doing the same idea every Scooby-Doo movie too. "Ah oh no the Monsters are real this time" for the tenth time. So Hex Girls would be the pure embodiment of going full supernatural. You can tell the team of Scooby-Doo still fights about this idea because the show Velma was trying to be more character and psychologically focused rather than like a "Spooky Monster" no they're straight up talking about Serial Killers. There's 3 distinct phases of Scooby-Doo that define it's legacy. The costumes, the monsters, and the characters emotions especially towards each other. I'm not sure if Scooby-Doo writers wanted that especially when you consider the next movies were about Aliens and Computers. That's how much disdain they had for "super natural elements". No longer were there Ghosts but instead Data. It's interesting thinking about how much Scooby-Doo has evolved

I would have loved a Hex Girls cartoon! It's never too late for CartoonNetwork to make this a thing.

The Hex Girls were always my favorite growing up. I'm so upset that they didn't get as much screen time and songs as they should have! It is so interesting hearing more behind the scenes of The Witch's Ghost! That movie was seriously amazing. The Hex Girls seriously changed my life. I didn't know what goth was but I knew right off the bat as a child that those characters were my idols for life, and here I am today still goth as ever XD

They probably just wanted the most top and next biggest success of the business. Though I hold no grudges against Sarah directly; I do the producers. Ultimately they were the ones who made the choice. She was an actress looking for her next gig. I doubt she actively made the effort to "take" Marnie's character slot. Perhaps if she played a role or had direct personal relation to one of the producers long before the films and had a sort of involvement of the production, then, maybe...I guess. But the movie was very strange without Kimberly playing the role she carried from the start.

Much love to you and Rick. I've grew up with these girls when I was a kid. To see them go through so much back forth of good and bad to worse is very disheartening and tiresome. HG fans just want the OG badass aura from the trio. The formula was RIGHT THERE and yet they chose to barely acknowledge. RIP Hex Girls. I'll only recognize the debut and Mystery Incorporated versions.
