I don't think they made the carriages but could be wrong it was more the commercial tanks that were built of timber, coming off the main line which needed repairing , my dad was a joiner there in the 50s, I have his tools, Plane , Brace and bit etc , they apparently used beautiful timber Pitch Pine and the tenons and joints had to be of a very high standard .I also work in wood .

474 Anlaby Road was the Carlton Picture Theatre, opened on 9 September 1928, designed by Blackmore & Sykes and built by Greenwood & Sons. It was run by Hull Picture Playhouse Ltd.
