Richard needs to stop acting like her Father. She's his boss. Not his daughter. She doesn't owe him anything just because he had an affair with her mom.

It wasn't her secret to tell. He's being entirely unreasonable.

My respect for Richard Webber has always risen and dwindled over the seasons, but has especially fallen at moments like here when he blames and takes his anger out on Meredith when he shouldn’t and she isn’t to blame for what’s happened and when he should be upset. Sure, Meredith has messed up and done things she shouldn't, including helping Richard which are admirable about her but I always feel that she owed Richard nothing. The part where he said “Do you know how many times I’ve stood up for you? How many times I’ve defended you, Meredith?” Yeah but for the most part it was out of the guilt he had for breaking up her parents marriage by having an affair with her mother, and considering how long it took Meredith to forgive Richard in the beginning and for him to apologise and take responsibility for why he did what he did for Meredith; Richard owes her an apology but instead Meredith’s being left to feel bad like always. Poor Mer.

She breaks the rules, he gets mad at her. She follows the rules (not breaking HIPPA), he gets mad at her. She can't win with him at this point. If she told him without Catherine's permission, Catherine would have done everything to make sure Meredith can't practice medicine.

Why does this show even bother with queer couples? They ruined Cally and Arizona, did nothing with De Luca (other than Station 19), did something with Amelia and Kai and probably will throw Beltran's bisexuality in the garbage by connecting her with Winston, instead of Amelia. For non-straight men it is even worse, since Levi and Nico were the only couple and they barely lasted one season together. Levi's class of interns was the only one with a queer guy. Are bisexual guys SO RARE that in 20 years no bi character was introduced, other than women? Since they threw that Amelia was Bi out of nowhere, they could easily to that with Winston, Lucas or Boston. Maybe even bring a Bi/gay doctor to make a couple. Apparently only women are allowed to be queer on this show, and they will do everything to ruin that

They are always getting mad at Meredith. She didn’t do anything wrong. Catherine was the one who didn’t want to tell her husband. It’s always Meredith that gets the blame.
