Dr. Seely is the best doctor I have ever had. I will miss him.

See you Tuesday! Got a real special one for you!
Dr. Altmyer has restored the use of my hand with corrective surgery, he fixed my left knee, replaced BOTH of my hips, one injured in an accident. These surgeries have allowed me to be able to walk again. He genuinely cares for his patients, he LISTENS to what his patient has to say, and he's easy to talk to. In my opinion Dr. Chad Altmyer is the very best ortho in the entire state of Mississippi. I'm so grateful God put him in my life in my time of need. Because, I am the biggest CHICKEN with any surgery in the state of Mississippi. Thank you Dr. Altmyer for EVERYTHING.
Thank you so much!
They use ultrasound to find 3 nerves, 2 above your knee and 1 below. They freeze spray your skin and then use the iovera, they do it 3 times on every nerve. The needles aren't 10 inches either, thats ridiculous. You don't even feel the needles because of the freeze spray, you can feel heat in the nerve until it's numb. I had zero pain with my knee replacement, I walked into PT 4 days after the surgery. It never hurt rehabbing it either, don't believe all these pain stories, have it done because it works.
I am getting both iovera and a tkr in the next month and I like your story MUCH better than the other ones I am reading here.
@@Catmom2004 you will breeze through your knee replacement, when you wake up from surgery and expect pain it won't be there or It will be minimum. People just love to complain because that's their outlook on everything. The stronger you go into anything the easier it will be.
@@mrthorton Thank you for your kind reply. Best wishes to you, internet stranger.
No ultrasound guidance or fluoroscope assisted injection site ?
Fuck im geting this in my skull for occipital nueralhia
I had this a week before my TKR, the needle that was used was waaayyy longer than those tiny probes, my needle was a good 10 inches long and they went way into my thigh and it was extremely painful!!! I don't believe it helped with post surgical pain much either, there were times my pain level as a 10 right after surgery and I still used ice and narcotics after my surgery to attempt to control the pain. Now it is 17 weeks later and my thigh on the outer side is still numb. Not sure I am convinced this even worked or helped at all. But I have never had a TKR so I have nothing to compare it to. I do know that I definitely had LOTS of pain after surgery and still do from stiffness.
10 inches long would go completely thru some peoples thighs.. I would have to see that to believe it was that long.
Got It 5 days b4 my total knee replacement. It didn't work on me my pain level was a 10 after surgery and still at level 8, 5 days later. 😥😭
That's not uncommon Cyndi
